Great win! I'll take 2 wins out of 3!

Bumgarner did a great job!

I like how Brian Wilson is no longer putting up a show to close a game! He just goes in and gets it done!

Great game, funny how huff is starting to hit and get on base once Belt came back up. Got on base 3 times yesterday and 3 more times today and one of them was a missed pop up at third base.

About prospects, Wheeler is our top pitching prospect? I thought it was Eric Surkamp, he has been imo the best starting pitcher for the Giants in the minors. If we were to trade any of our prospects i wouldnt mind letting francisco peguero go or runzler, I really want the Giants to keep wheeler, surkamp, and gary brown since J. sanchez will most likely not be a Giant in 2 years and zito's contract also finished in 2 years and we have 2 ready starting pitchers to take their spots. And with an aging torres and rowands contract coming to an end, a .300 avg gary brown fills that hole easy.

According to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal, B.J. Upton is emerging as an alternative for teams that fail to land Carlos Beltran.
The Giants are reportedly a big player, and likely not just to gain leverage against the Mets. Upton is under team control through 2012, and would be an upgrade both offensively and defensively for the defending champs. Rosenthal suggests the Giants would be more willing to give up prospects for a player that isn't just a rental. He also adds Cleveland as a possible suitor. Jul. 24 - 8:06 pm et

The Mariners, A's, Brewers and Giants have looked at free agent slugger Wily Mo Pena, according to Jon Heyman of SI.com (on Twitter). The Diamondbacks recently released Pena, who hit five homers in 46 plate appearances this year.

One team says Brian Sabean's off-limits prospects are Zack Wheeler, Heath Hembree, and Gary Brown, along with Brandon Belt. That'd leave the team without any top 50 prospects to move, with Francisco Peguero and Ehire Adrianza in the next tier based on Baseball America's preseason rankings. There's also Double-A lefty Eric Surkamp, who brought his ERA down to 2.00 yesterday.
