He never really said anything bad about the Chargers since he left. The media just loves to blow shit out of proprotion to sell headlines and people fall for it.
Not really, he trashed his O-Line and the organization.....on multiple occasions. But he's an emotional dude and sometimes does, and says things before he thinks.

How'd he trash the o-line? By saying they were pass blocking? Isn't that the truth? Why is it ok for fans (who only know what the media tells them) to trash the organization when shit is going south but when a player who's not only been in the organization for damn near 10 years but has been the face of it says the same shit all hell breaks loose?

Quote from LT today:

"LaDainian Tomlinson said today in conference call with local media: "I don't have any bad bones against anybody. I'm sure the time will come when I come back and retire as a Charger."

Good to see LT take the high road finally.

i think LT really wanted to stay here but the management had other plans for his role and ultimately was the reason for his departure..hell retire a bolt for sure

^^^LT wanted out just as much as AJ wanted him gone. He also, didn't want to be a #2 back, knowing we were gonna draft a RB or sign one in free agency, but was content with being one in NY.

Fans and PROFESSIONAL athletes are two very different things so I'm not even going to comment on that lol.

How is "all hell breaking lose"???

That's NOT what he was saying. He didn't like the fact that we had become a pass first team (half of that his own fault) and was selfish about the offense not revolving around him. He said the O-Line was garbage, even if they were, you don't throw former teammates under the bus like that. Should have taken the high road, put all that behind him, and make his mark as a Jet. He couldn't admit that he was half the problem and had lost 2 steps and would constantly trip over his own 2 feet. He had one of the best O-Lines last year and was the feature back, did he look like the "old" LT??? Definitely not. He was done and AJ made the right move for business and for the best of our team, LT couldn't come to grips with that.

Some truth I read earlier:
"He said he didn't want to take less money in SD to be a "third down backup mentoring RB" and then he took the exact same deal for the Jets. And he tore apart the team and front office on the way out, like he was put out in the cold. When in reality, he wasn't even willing to talk to the Chargers about a similar deal. If anyone should be hurt it should be the Chargers. They hung on to him way past his prime, past his nagging injuries, and kept giving him opportunites to be a starting RB in this league. And when it became apparent that he could no longer "go" as a #1 option, he was hurt and angry at others rather than accept it within in himself and he acted like a jerk."

Do you remember him saying he would NEVER retire as a Charger as long as AJ smith was GM? (Not being professional enough to put your differences aside punishes the fans)

Do you remember him saying he would possibly go into the hall of fame as a Jet if he played there one year and they won the SB? (Nobody does that)

Do you remember his sly remarks last year and laughing that we struggled and didn't make the playoffs?

I'm not one of those "LT haters" and have no hard feelings towards him, still have a lot of love for him and can't wait to see him retire as a Charger, but I tell it like it is. I really don't want to get into a back and forth debate about this because the fact that you love LT is cool with me. So do I.

Rex Ryan just stated that LT will start this week against the Chargers for "ceremonial" reasons. Gonna be fucking WEIRD playing against him.

Basically we can talk all the shit we want about the people running this organization but when a player who's actually involved in it does it he becomes the enemy.

I'm still trying to find a link showing him throwing someone under the bus. If you find it before I do please post it.

If you carried a team from garbage to super bowl contenders and the minute you started to fall off they offer you a dick in the booty contract to take a back seat you'd be pissed off too.

Do you remember him saying he would NEVER retire as a Charger as long as AJ smith was GM? (Not being professional enough to put your differences aside punishes the fans)

AJ is an asshole thats why! Do you remember him mocking LT the year before while they were renegotiating his contract? The same contract they refused to honor the following year. Which is why he ended up getting released

Do you remember him saying he would possibly retire as a Jet if he played there one year and they won the SB? (Nobody does that)

Why not? I wouldn't retire as a team that kissed my ass while I was putting up MVP numbers then dumped me off like shit the minute I stopped putting up those same numbers due to a shitty oline.

Do you remember his sly remarks last year and laughing that we struggled and didn't make the playoffs?

No. Post a link. i'm guessing its some shit that was blew out of purportion liek any other thing he's said

Its just funny to me how he he's the asshole of the century for confirming pretty much everything the fans have been saying during those slow starts we had during those times.

Again, you are exaggerating. I NEVER said he was the "asshole of the century" or anything remotely close to that. Some people think he was wrong, some people think he was right and nobody is going to change the others mind. You and I disagree on the situation which is completely fine, we are both still Charger fans. Don't have the time or the energy to continue this debate.

I wasn't speaking on you, just fans in general. But you right, lets agree to disagree. Much respect to you.

I hear ya. That's what I meant by I'm not one of those "LT haters" because there are plenty of them out there and are fucking retarded. Even people ignorant enough to not except his positive comments today. All I was saying to begin with was it's good to hear him put the past behind him and say some good things. That's all. Probably worded it wrong by saying "finally", but yeah, that's all I was saying.

He's definitely going to be fired up and playing with some motivation this week especially after being named starting RB. I know the Jets aren't playing well but I'm surprised at how many people think this is going to be an easy win. It's IN New York and against a team that has always gave us trouble. It's going to be a tough game. Hopefully Mathews can beast on em this week.

Now Cromartie? I AM a Cro hater lol. I hope Mathews knocks him out like he did against that guy on the Pats.

I think real charger fans know that LT was one of the main reasons people gave the chargers there respect back when they were in the bottoms of the afc west for many years,or how he used to dominate when playing the raiders..he put in much work for SD and thats something i wont forget

If any Charger fan hates LT then they're not a true Charger fan.

As a Raider fan I hate his ass, but I respect his skills. Damn straight I was glad to see him leave the division and happy he was signed to a team that would be a contender.

He deserves a ring, it's just that the Chargers don't deserve one :cheeky:

Jaysav: sorry sir but i also disagree with you. fact of the matter is LT wanted to stay in Dago, but cheap ass AJ didnt wanna pay him the money so he bounced.
LT still got "it" imo, not like how he used to of course, but he is still decent. I have mad respect for the nig, yeah he was a crybaby at times, but aye. He was the focal point of our offense. Norv came on board and made the focal point Rivers, and it just went bad for him at that point imo.
But as stated, fuck Slomartie. lol

Rasan,

A.J. Smith was set to make LT an offer, It was LT that said he wouldn't take the San Diego discount. He didn't want to split carries either, he wanted to remain the feature back......what did he do? He turned around and signed with New York for about the same money, and ended up splitting catches with Shone Greene. He then blasted the chargers organization on the way out. Thats why many people have soured on him.....

what exactly did he say about the organization though? it wasnt like he went on a public tirade on a mission to drag the bolts into the mud,or as you say "blasted"..
