Yea, they give you a card with a code on it, and you use it on the internet to get the XBLA code.

Edit: If you want, I can see if my boy can get me an extra code. I'm not sure if he can or not, but I'll try.

Ah. I dont know if they have codes for the PS3.
If I remember correctly, though, the actual game has a cross-platform multiplayer. Meaning If I have a 360, I could play against someone on PC or PS3.

In the full version, anyway.
