Yeah I know because of a stress fracture... well he's healed now so he should run it.
whether he ran or not he would be the first WR taken and most likely a top 5/6 pick...im sure he would consider your offer but kindly decline

and im not sure if its fully healed or not..im sure hes still rehabing and not in top football shape...

We'll see what happens because the draft is a few days away. Should be interesting, if I am wrong about Crabtree not being good in the NFL then I'll come back and admit it. But I just don't see him as being all that good. He may have good hands and can run routes but his lack of speed concerns me and you need to seperate in the NFL because Qb's don't have much time and space to get their balls in there. I was just watching highlights of Crabtree, and I noticed the qb that was throwing him the ball was mostly in Shotgun formation. We'll see what happens!

all the non raider fans just need to admit that they dont want to see the raiders draft crabtree, because if they do then we have the next aikman, smith, irvin combo with russel, dmc and crabtree not to mention bush and miller. the offensive playmakers would be set for the future and all yall would hate it because you want these cats to be on your squad.and tony crabtree is gonna be raw fitzgerald and boldin dont have great speed and they turned out pretty damn good speed isnt errythang only to al davis it is. with all of that said the raiders will probably take andre smith and he will be a bust lol.

If not Crabtree, then Raji by default
By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009 at 2:52 pm in Oakland Raiders.

As noted in Tuesday’s on-line chat, I’m involved in a mock draft which started this way:

Detroit_QB Matt Stafford, Georgia

St. Louis_LT Jason Smith, Baylor

Kansas City_LT Eugene Monroe, Virginia

Seattle_LB Aaron Curry, Wake Forest

Cleveland_WR Michael Crabtree, Texas Tech

Cincinnati_LT Andre Smith, Alabama

Sounds plausible, since it’s difficult to know at this point exactly what teams are thinking. There are reports the Cleveland Browns have soured on Crabtree because of his attitude, although I can remember hearing similar things about Charles Woodson only to discover he was actually a pretty straight-forward guy and was far from a “diva.”

Let’s assume for a moment Crabtree is gone when the Raiders pick, as are three of the four premeire tackles.

The consensus at that point, if you went through all the mock drafts, would probably be Missouri wide receiver Jeremy Maclin.

My inclination?

First, try and trade down. Easier said than done, if indeed seven of the teams in the top 10 are having similar thoughts, as Scot McCloughan is suggesting.

If the Buffalo Bills saw something they really wanted at No. 7 and were hesitant to give up Nos. 11 and 28 in the first round, then you throw in a player and a second- or third-round pick from next season’s draft to get it done, with the idea of getting those picks back through future deals.

If trading back simply isn’t an option, then I’m reluctantly going with Boston College defensive tackle B.J. Raji.

If the Raiders truly believe he is best front-seven run-stopper in the draft, then you address a six-year weakness and make the pick.

Over the last six years, the Raiders have finished no better than 25th in rushing defense. They’ve been 32nd once and 31st in each of the last two years.

In those 96 games, the Raiders have given up 122 rushing touchdowns. At the other end of the spectrum, the Pittsburgh Steelers have given up 54 rushing touchdowns.

I realize the problems in that area are in part because the Raiders score so few touchdowns. If I didn’t believe that, I wouldn’t be advocating the pick of Crabtree.

But more touchdowns isn’t going to suddenly make the Raiders a good team against the run _ it would only the opponent less persistent.

And if those touchdowns aren’t on the board, you move to stop a six-year land rush against your defense.

I know I keep changing and switching... but this is final. I think we should draft DHB!! Just think of the match up problems he'll cause because once he gets better at running routes, teams won't cover him one on one, so that means that the extra safety won't be able to come down and play against the run because once DHB gets behind you, he's gone! So that'll open up the run somewhat too! Wether we pick him at 7 or trade down, I still think we should draft DHB regardless. Come on Al, stick to your guns and go for speed!!!

Lets say that Crabtree is gone before 7th pick which I think he will should they talk to the jets about trading down for there 1st, 2nd, and 4th picks this year cuz you know they want Mark Sanchez and he will not be there at 17th or would you be mad that they didnt take Raji or Maclin at 7?

CRABTREE IS A STUD. HE WILL DOMINATE IN THE NFL. MARK MY WORDS.
Aight S1, you know you're my nigg and we rarely disagree! So we'll see, I just don't see it in Crabtree. I know speed isn't everything but I don't think he'll be that good homie. I think the Rams may end up taking him since they lost Bruce and now Torry Holt.

I wouldn't be mad if they took Raji at 7 because we do need help on our d-line. But Maclin at 7? Nope, I used to be high on Maclin till I seen DHB. If we did trade down with the Jets, hopefully DHB would still be there.
