Monta is on his way to being a top 10 player. He'll be there in a couple of years, he's just not there yet.
All the players that have been mentioned so far, all do something better then Monta. All those players make their teammates better, night in and night out. Monta hasnt got to that level yet.
Kobe, Lebron, Melo, Wade, Paul, Nash, Roy, Duncan, Dirk and Durant all make their teammates better. I dont even think Monta is even top 15 right now. He's playing the best basketball of his career right now but lets not get to ahead of ourselves here.

you contradict yourself.
yes nash is great on offense and runs his team. but if he is a liability on de like he is, it gives the other team easy points. making it tough to win. and theres the contradiction since u say it cares about one thing, wins.
no i'm not talking 2k10, im talking about the best overall, most complete, most skilled, and most dominant players in the league.
call it what u want, overall rating, tier 1, or whatever else works for you.
but nobody else is on those 4 players level.

Not a contradiction because not every team has someone who can take advantage of Nash being a liability on D AND THEN turn that one liability into a loss for the Suns. But Nash is like, "Fuck your top 5 defense. I'm in the paint again and again and again and again!"
Head to head with any PG, Nash is usually going to be more productive. You're not going to out assist him, and when he feels like it, he'll drop 30 on you. That's the thing about Nash, whether it's him scoring or his teammates scoring, it's because of him that they get points.
Texas just has a lot of people that's why you see cats from those three teams get waaaaaay more votes than you think they should. I remember a couple of years ago, Jerry Stackhouse was like 3rd overall in votes after some early returns when he played for Dallas. Jerry. Fucking. Stackhouse!!!
