marion barber had two fumbles against gb. nobody is taking that 140 yard performance away from him.
nobody made a thread after MB3 ran for those 140 yards last night....thats the difference....im not taking anything away from mcfadden gaining the yardage he did......im simply stating facts that ethier the word "beast" has lost its meaning in this forum or raider fans are just blind......thats all

i think if the raiders bring mcfadden along at a nice controlled pace he will flourish. if they run him 15-20 times a game as the are now, he will be useless in 3 years. he needs time to learn and mature as a running back. remeber in college he played qb/wr/hb/fl and was the focal point of the arkansas attack. now as a pure tail back in the nfl they need to focus on the line play and get him some decent wide outs that defenses will give some respect. cause until they have a passing game mcfadden wont touch 100 yards this year again. and the out side chance it does happen will be because of multiple 25 yard to 45 yard runs. but he will have his 13 for 40 days for sure.

i hope the raiders build and give him and jamarcus the pieces they need to be successful.

I'm not doubting that he's not an every-down back; I'm making the point that he's a good back who had a great year last year. You may not agree with ''great'', but with no offensive line, no QB, no WR's, and him being a 'decent' back, it was great for him (and for us, for sure. lol).

Yeah...I said ''potential''...Kijana Carter had potential, too. I think he has the POTENTIAL to be a top-5 back. I'm not dillusional, thinking he's a ''beast'' right now. That list you put up was very impressive, indeed, except it doesn't prove anything besides the fact that there are a lot of backs on there that he'll have to compete against to get to that point.

I never said anything about it being RIGHT NOW. Soon, IMO, he'll be a very solid back. POTENTIALLY in the top 5, which is mostly a matter of opinion.

Huh. I must have missed that part. I didn't remember mentioning, or even believing in that arguement. Got me there. :ermm:
Ka-Jana Carter never showed flashes of potential in the pros..... NEVER......He blew his knees in a preseason game of his rookie year and when he returned never showed flashes of a good player......NOT ONCE......Soon after that my boy Corey Dillon took his spot and put up a hall of fame career on a losing team most of his caeer.....Now thats a beast.....Now if u were talking about Byron Hanspard then that would be different cuz he had more then one good game as a rookie........I like D-Mac but he has a long ways to go......That list I put up was just to prove that he has a long ass ways to go before he even reaches the top 10 let alone the top 5 and he won't be doing neither this year.....And I wish people would save that he's on a bad team bullshit cuz Corey Dillon(who did'nt start until like week 8 or 9), Barry Sanders, Gayle Sayers, Ladanian Tomlison and a host of other backs played on fucked up sqauds their rookie year and prospered in their first year.......LT is the best player in the NFL IMO....But I was not giving him that title right away....he had a real good rookie year but and a even better second year but I was'nt convinced until his third year......Clinton Portis was the shit his first 2 years in denver....A real Beast but so was Olandis Gary, Terrell Davis and Mike Anderson before him.....He was a product of Shanahans offense to me......When he went to the Skins and made his mark there then I was convinced.....point I'm making is that I was'nt giving these dudes passes until they really showed something.....One great yardadge performance against a shitty D is not impressive......And Fargas is a situational back.....Name 5 teams he could start on right now.

( ) = stats compared to dmac

hmmm...where is your proof? we're talking now not last year. all those you've listed are better in YOUR OPINION. save the "he's had one good game" talk. maybe he's had 2 bad games.
My proof is that they are proven.....McFadden isn't.......And if McFadden has had 2 bad games and only one good one and he fumbled twice in that one then what more proof do I need.

^ why are you a Titans fan anyways?

I always wonder how people become fans of random ass teams

you just hopped on the bandwagon randomly one year when they were good?

assumng you live in the Bay... I assume you do because you got RP WOODIE in your sig and I didn't think people in Tennessee listened to Woodie

Name 5 teams he could start on right now.
Detroit (Kevin Smith = 29 carries, 102 yds, for a 3.5 avg.)
New Orleans (Reggie Bush, who's not an every down back, like Fargas, has 42carries, 152 yds, for a 3.6 avg.)
Kansas City (Larry Johnson = 58 carries, 217 yds, for a 3.7 avg.)
Cincinnati (Chris Perry = 60 carries, 180 yds, for a 3.0 avg.)
Cleveland (Jamal Lewis = 44 carries, 156 yds for a 3.5 avg.)
Tennessee (Lendale White = 49 carries, 148 yds, for a 3.0 avg.)

Justin Fargas: 27 carries, 140 yds, for a 5.2 avg.

But it's a matter of opinion. I feel he could start on those teams.

I understand what you're saying, but how far into his career does it have to be? He's unproven to YOU, fine...but he can't change the fact that it's only the beginning of his ROOKIE season. He's doing what he should SO FAR. He's a rookie who's 7th in the league in rushing.

And that list?

Reggie Bush is 29th, Joseph Addai is 37th, Maurice Jones-Drew is 39th...

And what exactly has Reggie Bush proven, as a RB in this league? His career average is 3.7 ypc.

lendale is not the starter....chris johnson has started two games and lendale started the houstan games and the last two games they played exactly even in carrys....

chris johnson is rushing for 5.5 yards a game....doesnt have a rushing td but has a td threw the air...

id MUCH rather have Chris Johnson/Lendale White and our Fb "Sarge" Hall...at the end of the year they WILL be more productive unless our passing game really takes off which it wont....

just a matter of opinion...Chris Johnson is allready running threw the tackles nice...i think his vision is years ahead of Mcfaddens at this point....

Lendale's listed as the starter, which is why I used him. And Hall hasn't really proven anything, either. He has 4 rushes for 10 yards. But I'll take your word on that...

And how exactly do you measure Chris Johnson's vision being ''years ahead of McFadden's at this point'', anyways?

i was a fan of the franchise before the move to tennessee....i sat threw thier bad year in memphis then the move to nashville...

its not nearly as a "random" team as people might think....theyve never won a SB but there franchise has a history esp in the AFL....Bud Adam is one of the pioneers in both leauges...First Ballot hall of famer

ive only been a fan of one team.....

im not from the bay...closer to sacramento... but never jumped on a bandwagon when dallas/sf/oak/gb/ne were good...

ill die a titans fan even if they never win a SB....:hurt:

hes look fluid running threw the tackles..and he waits for the blockers...he hasnt seen the wholes mcfadden has yet...when mcfaddens blockers break down he looks lost...

i said midway threw the PRE-season that Mcfadden wouldnt be in the running for the OROY....i stand by it...he might pull some good numbers in some games but hes going to be lost when oaklands o-line gets manhandled...

where you looking?.....lendale was only listed as the starters on FISHERS depth chart this last game against houstan....

Chris Johnson got the first carry against Jax and Cinci.....
