yea you guys have a massive oline now, if they can stay healthy DMac will have another great year. Do you think cable being gone will slow down what Dmac and the oline did last year??
hell no and right on for actually keeping it real. The running game opens up the passing game. The Raiders passing game will be a lot better this season

Hue Jack City had the line doing more power blocking, rather than the zone blocking that cable wanted. I prefer the power blocking, since it seemed to work a whole lot better for dmac and bush.

to be completely honest, I believe Hue Jackson was the big reason why our offense improved period.. both passing & running game.. if anything I see DMac having an even better season if he can stay healthy.. and we still got Bush and drafted Taiwan Jones so our running game should be set! my main concern is Gaither staying healthy, cuz I kno he missed last season due to back injury.. if he can bounce back this will be a huge signing for us, 20x better then Robert Gallery by far and he's a true LT something Gallery never could become for us

I think Hue Jackson is more to blame with what the Raiders did offensively last year than Tom Cable.
Jackson was the one calling all the plays
amen to that! if we didn't have Hue last year I bet our offensive production woulda still been SHIT.. DMac did finally come into his own tho

Damn ironlungs, good shit. Actually not a hate a post lol.

But to answer ur question, not one bit. I think it'll actually be even better. It wasn't cable that made the changes, he wanted the zone block n hue changed it up to a power block scheme, and the change up was used wonderfully. Dmac had a career year and adding the 2 rookies wit gaither is ONLY gonna help. I'm stoked.

For the first time in awhile, I'm REALLY stoked n confident bout our team. Not gonna make any predictions but fact is, our team is improving and that's all I care. One day at a time. One season at a time.

No more losing seasons hopefully!!!!

And FUCK man, I knew aso was gon leave especially after the contract al gave routt but still I was hoping aso saw the changes we're making as a team n wanted to finish what he started here in Oakland..... But still dude gave it his all n played lights out football each n every game. He deserves the best n deserves a ring. I just wish it was here in Oakland.

I mean shit, he played college ball locally at CAL, and played 8 years in Oakland. I didnt think he would want to start a new beginning so to say n play for a new team since he was so familiar wit the city n team.

Ahhh fuck. Can't do anything bout it now n can't hate him for the decisions he's made. Big ups to aso. Wish the best til we play the eagles lol.

Updating a previous item, free agent OT Jared Gaither has not agreed to a contract with the Raiders yet.
The SF Chronicle jumped the gun previously, reporting Gaither had agreed to terms. His agent confirmed Friday that Gaither hasn't yet. Gaither has a number of medical issues, so a physical may be the holdup. A deal still seems close, as Gaither was at the team facility today "being checked out by doctors."

I hate to Aso go when we are on the verge of something special. He is class act and gets my respect regardless.

The Raiders will have a top 10 offense and defense in 2011. We might have the best front four defense in football, real talk. Another year for these young guys will show this year. We are back!

And btw did Al even TRY at ALLLL to retain aso? Or did he just say fuck it, thx for playin, and go sign to another team?

I never saw any reports on Oakland even trying to resign aso. Let alone no reports had Oakland in the talks of aso resigning.

Anyone know wassup? Im up here in Portland so I RARELY get any coverage on the team. I always have to go online which reminds me, to all my faithful raider fans, what are some good n reputable sites online that covers the raiders?

Considering our salary cap, I thnk Al let him go because he didn't want to disrespect him. Maybe I am wrong, but I wouldn't have paid him more than Routt. Not that I don't think he is better, corners just do not make or break a team in the big picture of things.
