With Vince Young being cut by Tennessee, naturally, the talk turns to where he could land.

Young
Naturally, the Oakland Raiders are being mentioned as a possible landing spot. On ESPN’s “NFL Live,” Adam Schefter said Philadelphia and Oakland are possible suitors for Young and he could be in a new uniform in the next 24-48 hours. Schefter said both jobs would be as a backup.

I could see why the Raiders are connected to Young. Oakland owner Al Davis loves athletes and he has no problem giving talented players a second chance. So, it would be an interesting scenario to see Young come to the Silver and Black to back up Jason Campbell. The Raiders’ current backup is Kyle Boller, who has the support of coach Hue Jackson

Eagles bring in Vince Young on one-year deal

Eagles agreed to terms with QB Vince Young on a one-year contract.
It didn't take V.Y. long to realize there was no market for him as a starting QB after failing to bring an NFL commitment-level to the table in Tennessee. A one-year stint as Michael Vick's backup is a smart move, allowing him to stay under the radar and enter the market again next year at age 29. While Young may struggle to pick up the West Coast offense in camp, he won't be asked to take the reigns anytime soon. Regardless, he's now the best insurance policy in the league, capable of keeping the team in contention even if the starter goes down.

Philly is just setting themselves up for another Kolb like trade later this year or next year.
The hard-on they got after getting so much in return for him must have caused this.

Eagles agreed to terms with WR/KR Johnnie Lee Higgins on a one-year contract.
Once an explosive returner, Higgins has averaged just 7.2 and 5.2 yards on 51 punts over the past two seasons. This signing has the look of insurance against a protracted DeSean Jackson holdout.
