That's true... I think more than anything the finger has been pointed and the blame game has gone crazy when it comes to why this artist hasn't blown up and what not.
If the people want it... the raido's gonna play it. The Bay just needs to step it up a bit when it comes to that category. No one said we gotta be sell outs but make shit that's good and make shit great.

The issuse is much more complex than simply saying people need to make betta product. That shyyt sounds ill-conceived and a smart azz remark. I agree with another cat who said those who at the top, make room for some of us who tryin to eat too. KMEL played apart like it or not. Move on and let's come up wit some other solutions to a multi-dimiensioned problem.

as i pointed out, mix show spins are different from rotation. mix show spins do appear on bds and media base, but not on kmel's official playlist, which according to stacy c is "run by a computer out of texas." draw your own conclusions there. kmel is playing more local artists than their playlist shows, but as far as the internet and people outside the area, i.e. promoters looking to book bay artists in other regions, these people dont look at media base. if you look at kmel's playlist, all this bay area music you're talking about is listed as "scotty fox's 6 o clock chop shop mix." artists are NOT credited. how do you think that affects the perception of the bay outside the bay? it's not like i'm making this stuff up, folks. challenge my opinion all you want, but please don't argue with facts, fucked-up as they may seem.
