That dude Chauncey is solid.....I agree with Nash too, but i just don't think the suns are going to hold up in the playoffs without Amare (TImmy couldn't hold amare for nothing last year)....and I absolutely love the team play and comradery and basketball fundamentals and unselfishness of the detroit pistons......and chauncey is the one because their record may even the best of all time by the time the season is over who knows...what a solid point guard

once again. this proves my point on how this board is soo bias when it comes to kobe.
operationspsorts board is not a bay area board. it's neither. people from all over america chat on this board. total 37 votes... the majority think that nash and lebron are the two. espn.com should do a poll. i would really like to see where kobe and lebron stand at on this poll.
i hate the lakers so i definately hate to defend them but shit kobe should get mvp way before lebron. yeah lebron is a force but it seems like when the game is on the line i see him pass up chances to make game winning shots, that's the one thing bad i could say bout him. shit when the game is on the line best believe kobe wants that ball he wants that shot, lebron would rather dish it to hughes or jones. and to say this board is biased about kobe aint sayin much just like fooz in ohio are biased bout lebron. artest will take both those fooz on the 1v1 anyway.
Just because I like Kobe as a player and think he should be MVP that makes me a homer and a dick rider? I could say the same thing about every single one of you. MVP... Most Valuable Player... Nash has weapons around him. He doesn't have to score. He can dish out assist all day because of Marion and the other shooters he's surrounded by. So if Nash was to miss a few games they have players that can come in and play pretty good. Not good enough to win a championship but good enough to still win games. In comparison to Kobe.... Kobe has to score points. Nash doesn't... he can just dish out assist all day because the players he play with can ball. Can't say the same for Kobe.
Kobe goes down and the Lakers won't win nothing. Ever think about Kobe's defense? He has to guard the other teams best player... the Rip Hamilton's, the Sean Marion's, the Vince Carters, the LeBron James', etc.... it's not just about Kobe's scoring. He's more important to his team because his team is garbage. LeBron should come in second... only because he has a better supporting cast... Donyell Marshall, Larry Hughes.... Kobe only has Lamar Odom (when he decides to show up) other than that the Lakers are garbage.
So to sum things up... think about all of the MVP candidates and who they are surrounded by.
