Froch actually impressed me in the first half of the fight but Kessler was way to much for him and it just shows how good Ward is dominating Kessler like he did.

Super Six may have hit a snag. Fucking Froch, most untalented of the bunch.

Froch refuses an offer to fight in germany, demand neutral venue

Carl Froch has indicated he is unlikely to quit boxing's Super Six tournament.

The 32-year-old lost his WBC super-middleweight title to Mikkel Kessler on Saturday in Denmark and is next set to face German-Armenian Arthur Abraham.

But Froch has again insisted that he will not fight the current scoreboard leader Abraham in Germany.

"I won't be fighting in Germany, simple as that, but it has been pretty much agreed that we would fight in a neutral venue," he told BBC Radio 5 live."

I think they'll be alright. If Abraham is smart he'll take this fight wherever. Froch is as made to order for Abraham as it gets. Abraham is a smart counter puncher and feeds off people coming straight at him .. how much better can you get for Abraham .. I wouldn't be surprised to see Abraham remove him from his senses.

oh shit... They should just kick Green out and move to the semi-finals with Ward/Dirrell/Abraham/Froch.

Super Six Shocker: Mikkel Kessler Withdraws, Injured

By Mark Vester

The Super Six Boxing Classic has taken yet another blow as WBC super middleweight champion Mikkel Kessler has withdrawn from his fight with Allan Green, scheduled to take place on September 25 in Denmark and televised by Showtime. Based on the reports in Denmark, Kessler is suffering from an eye injury that has affected his vision for the last few months. Kessler was advised to stay away from sparring, and fighting, for a few months. He is hoping to fight again in the early to mid part of 2011.

The injury provides a blow to the Super Six, which has seen several fights postponed and the fight between Andre Ward and Andre Dirrell, also scheduled for September 25, has yet to secure a venue and is likely being postponed.

No word at the moment if another fighter will replace Kessler or how the executives at Showtime will handle the situation.

Super Six News: Abraham-Froch, Ward-Dirrell, Green Out?
By Rick Reeno

With the unexpected withdrawal of Mikkel Kessler from the Super Six tournament, BoxingScene.com was advised that Showtime is leaning in the direction of fast-forwarding the Super Six to the semi-finals. Kessler withdrew from the tournament on Wednesday, citing a serious eye injury. Kessler's recovery could take up to nine months.

As previously reported on BoxingScene, the upcoming Super Six clash between Arthur Abraham and Carl Froch, scheduled for October 2, will likely have the vacant WBC super middleweight title at stake.

The general manager for Sauerland Event, Chris Meyer, advised BoxingScene that Kessler will likely vacate his WBC title - and because Andre Dirrell [WBC #1] is scheduled to fight WBA champion Andre Ward - that would leave Abraham [WBC #3] and Froch [WBC #2] in position to collide for the vacant belt.

If Showtime goes in their likely direction of fast-forwarding to the semi-finals, Ward-Dirrell and Abraham-Froch would become the semis - and Allan Green, who doesn't have any points in the tournament, would be pushed out of the Super Six.

Green was scheduled to fight Kessler on September 25 in Denmark. To compensate Green for a possible early exit from the Super Six, I've heard Showtime is likely going to guarantee him a televised date. Green entered the Super Six as a replacement for Jermain Taylor. There are unconfirmed rumors that Green's next fight could take place in the light heavyweight division.

Ward-Dirrell is still scheduled for the date of September 25, but the fight doesn't have a venue, and every indication has the match being postponed to a later date in the year.

wow, PROPS to Showtime for saving this shit! That is a sick double header. Winners fight to be crowned champion. That's the way it should have been from the start.

Man, November is going to be so sick for boxing. Every single week of the month big time fights.

^^I like Ward but I think he would be considered the crybaby in this scenario since all of his fights have been in Oakland so far and Dirrell only fought once in his home town of Detroit.

Vegas seems like the best neutral option, however this is still about money and selling tickets so I dunno

I don't think it would sell in Vegas, honestly. Not very many people know who either one of these guys is...so if it was in Vegas, it would have to be at a small venue like The Pearl at the Palms, or The Hard Rock.

Ya Ward is the one being a little unfair.
He has already fought 2 fights in his hometown.
He wants a 3rd in Oakland.

Given that Dirrell already got screwed over in the UK against Froch, I don't blame him for not wanting to take it in Oakland.

I don't even think neutral grounds is fair. Ward has to go to someone elses home, just like everyone else already has.

From watching the Fight Camp 360's, it said something about Ward being afraid to fly or something. Fuck that. I'm a Ward fan all the way, but that's no excuse. Take a bus or something.

haha, did he really use the scared of flying excuse? That was the good old Calzaghe excuse that he used for YEARS. Then all of a sudden had no problem flying to America for a 43 year old Hopkins and a 40 year old Roy Jones. But that's getting off topic.

Dirrell deserves to have a second fight at home, that would make it equal.

Ward has fought his entire pro career almost exclusivly in Oakland, BUT he did fight in Florida, Connecticut and Tennessee earlier in his career, so the flying excuse must be 100% bullshit. Not too mention he won gold in Athens, Greece in the 2004 Olympics so unless he took a boat there he's lyin!
