saying FUCK something is not extreme, it's just the truth. Shit is WACK, fuck it. Watered down BS. It's all for the easy money, as a customer, I wouldn't support that BS.

No shit G-Funk is dying. To me it's already dead. But that doesn't mean it ain't the best sound and the best lyrics came out of it. Classics were indeed made with G-Funk and Bay Area Mobb Funk. Too many to list. What's a classic Hyphy song? Tell Me When To Go by E-40, Super Hyphy by Keak the Sneak? Cmon, give me a break, all that shit is garbage. Only elementry, middle & highschool kids should like that shit because they don't know any better. It's not "real" music, it don't have soul or anything. Heck, most of them don't even use real instruments in their beats anymore, it's all synthesized sounds, trance leads, pitched 808 sounding kicks and other silly zaps and FX sounds. It's just a formula for easy money. They figured out that you don't neccessarily have to put heart and effort into your music, because the kids & others will buy and follow it anyways. Pretty smart scheme. They ain't getting my money, that's for sure.

The only positive thing I see is that the bitches like it. Then again the bitches like everything men do & create. They follow. They were rocking to G-Funk as well back in the days. It should only be used as a "tool," in which to engage with females. Other than that,... NOPE.

Yup, I hate it. That WAS a Hyphy beat I made. The beginning was a Hyphy style drumbeat. Only thing it was missing was some tambourines n shit. Desregard the lead synth. I can picture some idiots jumping up and down to that. lol

When I say "hate" I'm not neccessarily hating it with all my heart, like a racist person. Cmon, it's just music, I'm not gonna get truely heated about it. I just don't LIKE Hyphy, Snap or any similiar sounding BS. To me it just ain't REAL music.

OK, your Hyphy beat is better. I admit. I personally didn't get much into it to tell you the truth. I'll make a better one for you soon. The FACT is, all this shit still sounds SILLY regardless. I can't take a beat like that serious. With beats like that, lyrics are bound to be stupid and meaningless.

I see all this club shit as wannabee House, Trance music. Trancey synth elements do not belong with Rap. It's like hiphopers barely discovered dance music or something, so they want to incorporate it in their beats now. It just sounds retarded IMHO. I would rather hear, Piano, Guitar, real bass,etc...REAL SHIT. Soft synth leads are cool, but not these rediculous fat trance leads. Hiphop should be more jazz/funk influenced.

When it comes to all this Synthy shit, to be honest, I think of Trance first.

How about making something like this instead:

are you serious????hyphy beats do not sound that much like techno....maybe some elements are similar but its not the same.....and the elements that are used are also used in a lot of Dirty South beats....them pitched drums n shit...trance sounds....manny fresh and lil jon have used both those elements in their beats numerous times.....

just admit your a hater when it comes to the hyphy. scene...the beat dont make the lyrics.....Ya Boy is one of the hardest lyricists out there and hes spit on plenty of hyphy beats by Ric Roc and Droop E and he dont come with weak lyrics just cuz the beat is hyphy....and there are plenty of rappers with weak ass lyrics to the kind of beats you like....your a funny guy man.....

I'm refering to it all, Hyphy, Snap, Crunk, all similiar elements. Atleast some of the Dirty South shit don't sound that silly though. I can't believe you mentioned Lil Jon, the dude is one of the founders of all this BS. This shit all started with that Young Bloodz - Damn, song. That shit had a heavy fat trance synth for the main hook. From then on, real Shit pretty much died out and that new Trance Synthy sound emerged in Hiphop, unfortuntely.

As far as beats and lyrics go, I personally wouldn't take the rapper seriously if he was on a Hyphy beat, Snap, whatever the fuck regardless if people think he's great. I don't want to hear no silly noises, whistles, zapps, bleeps, and other nonsense FX noises. I want to hear real music, some piano, guitar, chords, strings, all that good shit that helps set the vibe for real music. I think the music is just as important as the lyrics. Imagine Tupac on a Hyphy beat, cmon now, buddy. lol I don't think Tupac could have rapped to his mom on a Hyphy beat. Such serious topics like that require, real music.

like i said you aint the decider of what is art or music.....you sound exactly like my parents parents who thought elvis was garbage and thought that rocc n roll wouldnt go no where....you sound like all the mafuccaz who heard the 1st rap songs and said that hip hop wouldnt last....you sound like Common and KRS One when they said that West Coast Gangsta Rap wasnt real Hip Hop and that it ruined rap.....they was all hating and they was all wrong.....music evolves.....rocc started out with natural guitars n shit and now you have heavy metal, grunge, alternative etc. that uses similar elements of rocc but technology made the music grow into something else.....

and you dont know what Pac would have done.....he had hella love for the Bay and if he was around im sure he would of eventually been on a hyphy beat cuz damn near every Bay rapper hes worked with has gotten on a hyphy tracc by now.....but thats besides the point cuz pac was only one rapper and he didnt represent the whole game....he wasnt the best lyrcist in the world.....he just made his mark and passed on....now its time for new rappers to make theirs.....

and who decided that Hip Hop has to be all serious?????
you telling me you only listen to rap that talks about serious shit???? you must be the life of the party when you at the club.....

like i said your a funny guy and a hater.....you just dont realize it yet......

by the way....when i had posted them beats to compare from the triton and FL i remember you said you liked one of the hyphy ones lol.....

you also like Vince V's beats and he uses some of those elements in his....he aint using all natural guitars and pianos in his beats and he got sound FX in em.....i aint heard everything hes made but i wouldnt doubt if he got a hyphy tracc or two in his portfolio and im willing to bet they slap 15 times harder than any beats you say are "real" hip hop......

imo....60 seconds should be enough to show what you can do.....Vince V. made it work for him....his beats all change up and sounds like at least a verse and chorus within the 60 sec.......

that beat is pretty tight though Equiv....you and Vince V. the only tight ones ive heard in that contest so far......

I never said it has to be all serious. I just said I wouldn't take a rapper "serious" by some of the beats they choose to rap on. Kind of like Too Short, I personally don't listen to the guy anymore since his beats turned all silly n shit to the Hyphy route. Every rapper has their silly songs n shit of course and there's nothing wrong with that. But when it comes to something like Gangster or other serious topic, please don't have a whistle sound, or some other silly hi-pitched sound effect, or nursey rhyme melody, shit just doesn't go with it.

And as far as Parties and clubs go, I take the music for what it is because that's all that's pretty much out there right now. I'll hear it, even dance to it with a bitch if the beat ain't all stupid. Dirty South shit is usually the more better shit IMO. Like I said earlier, I see this music more as a "tool" in which to engage with females. In NO WAY, I'm I going to revolve my life around this silly music, buy CDs n shit, buy the silly childish looking clotching like them hoodies with dots or dollar signs all over them, listen to it on my own leisure time, no way.

As far as "hating" goes, I think I'm just saying the truth. A LOT of people don't like this new era of Rap. Most people I know, prefer the 90's style.

I never said it has to be all nature. I use a lot of synthesised pianos (Electric Piano sounds), and a lot of synthetic guitars as well, even occasional sound FX like sweeps. It's all how you use it. With the music technology these days a lot of shit is going to be synthetic, I never said it ain't good though. It's just how you use them.

And usually when I say I like something. It's because it's good for what it is or I think it was structually well put together. There's nothing that I've heard lately that I truely, truetly like. 50Cal's shit is pretty amazing sounding I think, he's got that 90's WestCoast funk down. Even his more uptempo beats sound good. See I have no problem with Happy sounding beats, but create them in a way that sounds good, a nice balance. Beats these days, especially Hyphy are TOO silly for my personal taste. Take a beat like Candy (Drippin like Water), a lot of people like that shit, but I personally think it sounds stupid as fuck.

Lets see your ideal Hyphy style, post up some links, Youtube or whatever. I want to see what you like.

well your just stucc in the past cuz majority of people rather hear the new shit contrary to what you beleive but i have a feeling you dont get out too much and if you do it aint outside your city limits or the circle of people you know.....i travel all over Nor Cal and frequent spots in about 20 cities at least and the vibe is the same everywhere......all these people cant be wrong and cant be stupid just cuz YOU think so....your just stucc on that 90's shit and cant let go.....Dr Dre dont even make them kinda beats no more and he started that shit.....

its called progression......things change if you dont like it youll never be happy.....and good lucc becoming a serious producer if you cant change with the times and adapt you wont stand a chance in this game.....

Oh I can adapt all right, music is universal. If it sounds good, people will still enjoy it. As a matter of fact, most of my shit sounds newer because alls I do is original stuff, I refuse to use samples like they did in the G-Funk days. I would say my style is a mix of old & new, much like a lot of shit today. See a track like Snoop Doggs's Boss's Life, shit sounds good to me for being new. Need more shit like that. Don't matter if it has an old style funky bassline or something. Heck people still use funky basslines, see Too Short-Blow The Whistle. The beat and bassline itself is cool, but everything around it, lyrics included is stupid. That's the kind of shit I'm getting at. People these days be getting all hyped over some silly sounding noises, silly sounding melodies, silly lyrics and what not. Whatever happened to good quality music.
