but why would a boxer want to learn a soft style? your realize that alot of kung fu doesn't use fists to hit right?
You hit it right on the spot. I have a right hand injury that keeps me from punching at full strenth.
I broke it in a street fight oh well.

Well I'm gonna look it up. It's either gonna be Kung Fu or Brazilian Jiu Jitsu over in Frank Shamrock's in San Jose gym.
I'll probably take Jui Jitsu and leave the Kung Fu stuff for my baby boy. He's 2 years old and loves the Power Rangers and Ultraman and shit.
Like you said, Kung Fu is very complicated.
It takes at least 5 years to fully understand it.
Out of all the Kung Fu styles, I like Wushu.
I got some demo video clips of that shit.
Those cats can do some amazing shit.

Yeah the good thing about it is that it focuses on what will happen. It takes into account that most people are not martial artist and that sooner or later you will end up close and personal. Also I've read that it's a mix of Western Boxing, Jui Jitsu, etc. Where they take the best and most damaging moves.

most martial arts, especially karate and tae kwon do, which happen to be the taught the most here in america, suck on the streets. their blocks are bullshit, and just not practical. in a fight, i am looking to break bones, in very little moves. i could care less about comepetition, that's not what martial arts is about, but if someone wants to fuck with me, they are in trouble

One thing about Vale Tudo that sets it appart everything else is that it's main purpose is to kick some ass.
The Brazilians ain't joking around with this shit, they focus on pure fighting without those bullshit forms from other martial arts.

Did anyone catch Pride this past Sunday. Boy Silva knocked the shit out of Sakuraba with a left hook.
Silva's well rounded with his shit, he knows a bit of Muy Thai. But this time he didn't need it.

K1's this Friday, can't wait to see Bob Sapp in there.
And that one dude from Stockton, or Merced. Where ever he's from, Williams, that cat can fight.

Blame me for that shit but here's the connection,
the article posted here talked about immates excercise routines.
The excercise then turned into a martial arts topic.

Well let us bring the two together.
Why aren't these gangs teaching a little bit of martial arts to go along with their work out routines?

If I had a gang, i'd be doing just that.
I know punches and kicks ain't nathan compared to guns but at least it would keep you from getting jumped in prison.
I'd encourage such shit, any advantage over your enemy is a HUGE advantage....

They can do what them Brazilian Vale Tudo muthafuckas do.
They just borrow from other martial arts.
Besides, all it takes is some coordination and planning.
You can easily get a few of your boys to take that shit and then spread the knowledge like a virus.
It really isn't that hard.

Martial arts at new with battles.
The old Soviet Union taught Military Sambo to all their soldiers.

Tru, not in prison. But at least it can start in the streets and find it's way into prison.

I don't know it's up to the individual banger.
I for one wouldn't stop at anything to gain an advantage over the enemy.
