Rams are a pesty freakin team aren't they? Gave Seattle a little scare for a minute. 11-5 though, playoffs. I'm happy.

BTW, what's up with Pete and these stupid surprise onside kicks against the Rams? Never works, stop doing it!

But apart of me also died today as the god damn Packers lose to MN!! The one time I go for the Packers and they lose! Oh well, the reality was Chicago had no chance in the playoffs this year. Time to make some coaching changes.

I knew this was going to be a battle and a "trap game" type atmosphere.

And they woulda had that onside kick had Kam waited a fraction of a second to touch the ball. He grabbed it 9 1/2 yards downfield...

True, it was very close. Still I didn't like the call. Could have cost 'em big.

So I'm going to get way ahead of myself here...but let's say Seattle beats the Redskins. Then, beats Atlanta on the road. And if GB beats MN, then SF, it's Seattle vs GB for the NFC championship. They are both 11-5. Seattle obviously beat them earlier in the year. Would that mean the game would be in Seattle?!

FUCK YOU
Shortly after Sunday’s 24-14 win over the Redskins, Darin Gantt reported that the Seahawks feared defensive end Chris Clemons suffered an ACL injury.

Those fears have reportedly been realized. Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that Clemons has torn the ACL and meniscus in his left knee. Per Rapoport, Clemons will meet with Dr. James Andrews next Monday to determine the next steps in his recovery. Coach Pete Carroll didn’t give an update about Clemons’ condition during his Monday radio show, but is scheduled to meet reporters again later in the day.

Clemons’ injury highlighted questions about the quality of the playing surface at FedEx Field on Sunday with Clemons’ agent blaming it for the injury and Carroll calling the field “horrible” during that radio show.

It’s not unexpected news given the reaction on Sunday, but it is damaging for the Seahawks defense. Clemons had 11.5 sacks for the Seahawks this season, the most of anyone on the team and the third straight year he posted at least 11 sacks, and played a lead role on the defensive line in all situations.

With Clemons out, rookie Bruce Irvin will be called on to play a bigger role. Irvin had eight sacks in the regular season and added one against the Redskins, but was in more of a situational role until this point.

The loss is significant, but lets not make this Seahawks D about one player. I think our D can still do well. He will be missed in this game amongst his team, though.

This should be a good game. I hope my team can get the W and advance to the NFCCG. Seahawks playoffs is where its at

The biggest question now is does Clemons come back in 2014 even remotely close to what he is now? He will be on the backside of 33, declining, and going on a repaird knee. I mean, lets be honest here....he is no AP and he relies on his speed rush to get to the QB.

Guess what Seattle will once again be looking for in the draft? YOu guessed it...pass rush. Even WITH Chris, our pass rush was poor in too many games, putting the secondary on islands for far too long.

The nice thing is we pretty much have all the other pieces. Shoot if i could id draft nothing but lineman on both sides of the ball. Maybe another DB to replace Trufaunt
I think Lane is going to fill that role next year. Too bad Thurmond cant stay healthy, becuase he is very good IMHO.

Pete and Schnied will find 4 more studs in the 4th round or later in the draft, thats all i know.

yo man, I just realized Seattle has 10 draft picks. What do you think of the possibility of trading up? I don't follow college that much so I don't know who's out there, but if there is some kind of beast of a lineman available makes sense to me. No way these 10 draft picks would make the team anyway since most of the parts are already in place.

Anyways, for the first time in a long time I feel great about next season. This was great experience for all these young guys and I can only imagine them getting better.

My only concern is Gus Bradley looks like he's going to get the job as the Eagles new headcoach. He's obviously a huge part of why the defense has improved so much over the past few years. But Pete is a defensive guy so I'm sure he knows who to replace him with.

I dont think trading up is a good idea. The track record for Pete & Co in the first round is dreadful. They make their money in the late rounds. Top draft picks are just as risky as anyone else, they just get more money up front.

And fuck Gus Bradley. I have no gripes seeing him go. Pete runs that defense and Gus is just the puppet. Bevell can kiss my ass too. I would like to look at Lovie Smith as the D coordinator and have pete give more responsibility to him.
