My opinion is based on longtime observation of the EastCoCo boards. With just a few exceptions, all who post in there are dumb violent gangbangers, or wannabe dumb violent gangbangers. That, like i said with a few exceptions, is who Woodie's music appeals to.

Woodie's fans all norte? Uhhh no way I know a grip of people who are down with his music and they arent involved in none of that shit. I mean damn, im a white guy who lives in san diego now and he's still one of my fave rappers ever.

His old stuff was definitely classic but I also feel like he was getting better with time.. NE7 proved that to me cause every verse he put down on it was sick as hell. Not to mention the NE6 laid back-but-intense songs that filled most of the album.

The NE's got better over time IMO even though 2 is still prob my favorite.


But dont say something outrageous like you HAVE to be Norte to feel East Co Co music. I've liked their beats and style for as long as ive been in the bay (even though a lot of the beats sound way too similar to each other sometimes... lol)

I reccomend you go buy some of his albums or the northen expozure comps, you wont be dissapointed
