Woodie was for sure one of the sickest, most skilled rappers to ever come out the bay.
If he wasnt so gang related (in most peoples eyes) and hardcore then he woulda been way bigger and more people would have been knowing about him.


All ive been listening to in the past few months nonstop... (east co co)

I mean no disrespect at all but I think the only way he was big was because he catered to Nortenos. If he dropped his specific genre he wouldn't have gone as far IMO.

NAW MAN I COMPLETELY DISAGREE 100%. HE DIDN'T GO FAR ENOUGH IN THE GAME WAS BECAUSE HE CATERED TO NORTENOS. IF HE WAS AN EVERYDAY WHITE RAPPER THIS GUY WOULD HAVE LEFT FOOS LIKE EMINEM BEWILDERED IN DUST. NORTENOS ARE A TINY PORTION OF POPULATION AND THATS WHAT STOPPED HIM FROM EXPANDING BECAUSE HE HELD IT DOWN SO TIGHT FOR HOMEBOYS. LOTSA KIDS LISTEN TO MUSIC THEY CAN RELATE THEMSELVES TO IN WHATEVER WAY. AND "NORTE" "YOC" "14" FOOS WOULD BE LIKE :confused: IMO

I don't know though, You think he was on Eminems type of level? I never REALLY listened to dude a whole lot to really know. I see your point though, I think it could go either way too.

woodie was a really skilled rapper, a deep thinker, and a good guy, those of you who never had the pleasure of meeting him missed out, I hope hes in a better place now then he was, and as far as everyone talking shit you can just keep talking Woodies music will live on for a very long time
