The Raiders have a better record of drafting in the 2nd-6th rounds anyways, so, screw a 1st in 2 years anyway. Seymour should upgrade this line and help them stop getting ran over by kolby smith types (who???) and help those DBs by rushing the passer. I'd still lke to see a Shaun Smith brought in for depth. I just hope this works.

If nothing else this keeps the Raider's name in people's mouth, for better or worse.

this is a link to an article about how the Seymour trade will hurt the teams defense in fantasy football. in the article it says:

As for the Raiders: they're likely to sign Seymour to one massive deal once the season gets rolling, but it's tough to argue that their fantasy defense didn't just get more valuable. Seymour is now the best player in that front seven (by far), and he and Greg Ellis make some interesting sack-oriented bookends in a more traditional 4-3.

Just thought i'd share and see if it happens or not

no they dont, i could see if they were on the bubble and one or two good players away from making a deep playoff run. the reality is that they are not and need lots of help. trading away 1st round picks does not help build your team

I understand but there might be a cap reason as to why they traded that 1st rounder, because I remember a post around here saying Raiders players were about the highest paid in the league.. I'll have a look for it..

You act like that matters. We haven't been lacking in cap room. Every year we're among the teams with the most cap room in the league. So bringing up Alex Smith's contract, or Nate Clements' contract, or Justin Smith's contract, or anybody else's contract is useless. I could understand if the big contracts we've given out recently have hurt our team, but the truth is they haven't hurt us at all so they are irrelevent. You're just reaching for an argument now.
lol, that wasnt really the point. How does it feel still to have not found a qb since Jeff Garcia left? Lol @ saying im in other teams threads, wow which sport you talking bout? Its really funny how you go out your way to try and prove Raider fans wrong like we cant see your biased point of view all the fucken time.

I liked how last time the 49ers, and raiders played in the regular season, Solitary 1 crawled back into the sports forum on his belly, tail in between his legs, acknowledging the 49ers as the better team , like a whore submitting to her pimp, wasnt that fun SOL? remember that? cant wait to see them play again when it counts, so you can do the same crawl of shame.
