Cheers for bringing this post back Copium - I bought the book about two weeks ago and am almost finished, an excellent read. I thought all my christmases came at once when, in the book store, I came across this gem. I own all of Richard Dawkins books from the Selfish Gene to the Devils Chaplain, and The God Delusion is right up there with the best of them. I strongly recommend that EVERYONE read this book (well, if you really want to believe in God, then you might not want to read it - he might shatter your delusion!).

I love the first guy who asks a question: 'the more you speak, the more I am convinced that there is a God'. A typical example of childish rebellion. If he were younger, he would have simply shoved his fingers into his ears and shouted 'la la la la, I'm not listening!'.

Ok, so I guess the evolution that occurs within our generation is an occastional extra limb, or extra finger, or tail that may sometimes have a bone. Or Siamese twins huh?

Or perhaps a good example would be how it is more and more common for children ages 10 and 11 to be sexually mature. Thousands of years ago this was also the case, but do to disease and poor nutrition becoming more common puberty was delayed. Modern hygiene, nutrition, medicine and society have all lowered the age once again.

That sounds a little too close to the New World Order and one world gov't to me.

I'd rather have people kill each other and shit than have one gov't for the world. That's fucking stupid. And it would end up just like this country...
