NO DISRESPECT BUT 5-6 G'S MIGHT BE OK 2 SPEND IF U ARE A NEW ARTIST TRYING 2 GET YOUR FEET WET BUT SERIOUSLY,WE NEED 2 SEPERATE WHAT PEOPLE CONSIDER PROFESSIONAL ALBUMS AND PEOPLE CONSIDER ENDEAVORS. $200 FOR FEATURES HAS 2 BE A LOCAL PRICE. ARTISTS THINKING THEY CAN MAKE AN IMPACT WITH A VACATION BUDGET NEED A NEW OCCUPATION. IF U BELIEVE IN YOURSELF THAT MUCH AT LEAST FIND AN INVESTOR. IF U ARE DOPE SOMEONE WILL BITE. LOL
LOL! I agree.
Yet, let me ask you this. A professional album meaning the top notch studios, mixing, mastering, distribution, photos, graphics etc. Some labels even count food, gas etc.
Is that what you mean? Also, in you opinion, what would be the price range we're looking at in recording a professional album?
And just so I don't come off an asshole (too late LOL) in my reply... Let's say an artist takes all the proper steps within the opinions in here to make a professional album. Everything is in it's place, he believes I himself yada yada yada and his budget is spent on the right people etc.
Regardless of budget, let's just say when it comes down to sales & the album doesn't do what was expected, was it all a bad investment? It was a gamble? I'm only saying because majors just like independents are not promised a success no matter the amount of money. Yes, I understand that more money equals getting out there a bit more, but it's still not a promise. Granted, nothing is, but from reading some of these post I can see how someone can be easily blindsided.
