I never spoke bad on Berner, but what I'm wondering is: That it takes a budget of about 5 to 6 g's to make a good album. Hmmmm... sounds to me like everybody has been working with $200 budgets for a few years now LMAO!!!!!!!

MAYBE SOME PEOPLE NEED 2 SEE WHAT THE INDEPENDENT GAME IS LIKE OUTSIDE OF CALIFORNIA. I AGREE,THE GAME GOT DEADED OUT HERE A LONG TIME AGO,BUT THANKS 2 THE GOOD OLD INTERNET WE CAN MAKE CONNECTIONS WITH PEOPLE IN THE PLACES WHERE WE'RE WANTED AT. THE BAY IN GENERAL IS KINDA OVERSATURATED WITH ARTISTS BUT ITS NOT LIKE THAT EVERYWHERE. SOME ARTISTS WANT FOLLOWINGS IN DIFFERENT STATES AND REGIONS SO THEY PAY ARTISTS OR PRODUCERS WHO HAVE A FOLLOWING 2 FEATURE ON THEIR PROJECTS AND THEY GET KNOWN OUTSIDE OF THE LOCAL MARKET...NOT SAYING IT WORKS 4 EVERYBODY BUT I HAVE SEEN SOME PEOPLE WORK HARD AND ACCOMPLISH WHAT THEY SET OUT 2 DO. LAZY ARTISTS HAVE NEVER GOT PAID 2 MY KNOWLEDGE SO IF THEY STAY INDEPENDENT AND STAY AT HOME....THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF INCREASING SALES AT ALL.
Tay you and Bo as artist Jay Z should be kissin yall's asses. Yall taught that nigga the dope game. I got a plug in NY I been shooting yall's catalogs of music to my homeboys connect I hope some big wigs hit yall up yall are over due on the game yall spit. Just don't go hollywood on us man I need an escape!

NO DISRESPECT BUT 5-6 G'S MIGHT BE OK 2 SPEND IF U ARE A NEW ARTIST TRYING 2 GET YOUR FEET WET BUT SERIOUSLY,WE NEED 2 SEPERATE WHAT PEOPLE CONSIDER PROFESSIONAL ALBUMS AND PEOPLE CONSIDER ENDEAVORS. $200 FOR FEATURES HAS 2 BE A LOCAL PRICE. ARTISTS THINKING THEY CAN MAKE AN IMPACT WITH A VACATION BUDGET NEED A NEW OCCUPATION. IF U BELIEVE IN YOURSELF THAT MUCH AT LEAST FIND AN INVESTOR. IF U ARE DOPE SOMEONE WILL BITE. LOL

LOL! I agree.

Yet, let me ask you this. A professional album meaning the top notch studios, mixing, mastering, distribution, photos, graphics etc. Some labels even count food, gas etc.

Is that what you mean? Also, in you opinion, what would be the price range we're looking at in recording a professional album?

And just so I don't come off an asshole (too late LOL) in my reply... Let's say an artist takes all the proper steps within the opinions in here to make a professional album. Everything is in it's place, he believes I himself yada yada yada and his budget is spent on the right people etc.

Regardless of budget, let's just say when it comes down to sales & the album doesn't do what was expected, was it all a bad investment? It was a gamble? I'm only saying because majors just like independents are not promised a success no matter the amount of money. Yes, I understand that more money equals getting out there a bit more, but it's still not a promise. Granted, nothing is, but from reading some of these post I can see how someone can be easily blindsided.

rapping isnt a permanent job, you cant just be a rapper all your life... u gotta have back up plan/something to fall back on.. i would be on the same shit. his actual talent has greatly improved over the years actually... but money always comes first in priority like it should.
