In NO WAY am I comparing the Crips & Bloods to North & South, even though it can ALL be classified as Genocide. I speak from the standpoint of having been in both Southern & Northern Cali growing up and dealing with folks from all sides of the fence. It is no secret that I am from San Jose and I have grown up with many Nortenos who were "dedicated" to the cause. ALot of them went on from the street aspect, to clicking up in CYA, and then eventually on to Prison, and ultimatly to the SHU (Corcoran some, Pelican Bay others). They have dedicated thier lives to this, and I trip cause I remember hangin with these cats throughout the streets, juvenile hall, and ranch. I have also come to know and have major respect for some of the Veteranos who were present at the inception of the whole Familia. Yes they are older now, most grey haired, and prefer to just kick it with the fam bam, and bbq all the dam time LOL!, but I tell you this, they aint flamed up, and out there puttin thierselves out there like that if you know what I mean. When you see them they dont give no indication fo whats really, only when need be.
When I spoke on "Hood Politic" meetings. I was speaking specifically for the person who brought the outsider in. Not on a joint kum by yah, lets get together thing, but whats gonna go on with dude from OUR spot for if WE feel thier was a violation, you know? I hope this is clarifying that.
The issue that happened to you in Santa Cruz is an everyday, everywhere occurance. I have seen BOTH sides do stuff like that. When it comes to shit like that, then it goes to if you dealin with some older cats, or are you dealin with some rowdy ass youngstas tryin to make a name for themselves. All I can say on that is karma is a bitch....it WILL come back around to them.
It all comes down to respect. What Slicc Ricc said about that Pen is VERY true. When you hit the yard in CDC Norte & Surenos are some of the most respectful people to each other. Alot of courtesy is going on because of the volatile tension that is between both groups. So when it DOES crack, there better be some type of strategy or meaning behind it. The Northerners are one of the most organized if not the most in prison. They got a cold, well disciplined program that really cannot be equaled by any other group.
