sony makes biting a habit but im pretty sure the wii u sales arent doing so well, they might be going down a bad road of making controllers more expensive for functions they'll never fully use/add anything

PlayStation 4 Price, Release Date Reportedly Outed - IGN
A new rumor suggests that PlayStation 4 is due this November and will be available at two price points. According to Kotaku, anonymous sources say the PlayStation 4 is currently planned for two SKUs at $429 and $529 respectively, though “that could change.”
The source also suggests that “you'll also be able to control the PS4 remotely from your tablet or smartphone. You'll be able to use a mobile device to chat with your PS4 friends or buy games which are then automatically downloaded to your machine.” The second half of that rumor seems to be in line with Sony’s recent changes to the accessibility of the PlayStation Store, which expanded to browsers last month.
Finally, the source suggests “that every PS4 will come with a PlayStation Eye; that a new spectating feature will let you watch other friends play games from your console's dashboard, even when you don't own the game they're playing; and that the console will support local network play via Vita.”

If those are the real prices, Sony has failed. In making th PS3 bluray based, they won the war against HD-DVD format, but they were hurt in the longrun as a game console cause of the high price.
I don't give a shit about any of that social crap, or watching anyone play games...they need to focus on video games. Sony is so behind in the television market and everything else, they can't afford to be a distant second or even third in the console market.

i mean 360 is slowly doing that dumb social networking stuff too, all sony does is bite & hope ppl like what they do better than the original. it worked with the ps1 because they had the games, exclusive shit you couldnt play on the 64, they did it with ps2 as well but now they're getting cocky thinking they can win people over with their own IPs. ps3 is nearing the end of its life cycle & they never fixed the problem of not having enough good games for it, psp went thru lem thurdy redesigns & theres still only like 5 must play games on it. sony been fucking up this last generation, they need to get it together.

And if the new XBOX is going to have bluray capabilities, it pretty much renders the PS3 useless in terms of what it can and can not do. I mean, are there ANY console-exclusive games for PS3? The only reason i had both was becuase of that, but now it appears that every game comes out for all platforms. If that is the case, bring on the Xbox 720.
