to me the scariest thing were the grown men in the theater that kept saying 'oh shit bro...did you fuckin see that shit bro...that fuckin got me bro??'

i finally said 'shut up or ill cut you'

my wife got mad.
my dad and I went and saw it and during the movie there was a bunch of durka durka holy moly donut shop ass teenagers behind us that kept sayin the exact same shit. we ended up telling them to shut the fuck up and they was like "we just tryin to enjoy the movie we payed too" my dad said "you been talkin the whole fuckin time you havent had time to enjoy it now shut up." then one of the kids says "you shut up" and some guy behind them says "both of you shut up" lol i ended it with "i guess we should go before junior high lets out next time" those pak dans didnt say shit for the rest of the movie tho and it still was a garbage flick

I just finished watching it and I really liked it. I liked how it builds up for most of the movie and then at the end it climaxes. The last 10 minutes or so are the only parts that gave me chills. Overall, I thought it was great. I give it 3/4 stars.

Anyway, I just saw the movie tonight and I liked it. It might be because im real into paranormal stuff and ghost hunting and all that (shows and documentaries, i dont actually do it myself)

=====Spoilers======

I liked how it slowly built up, and I agree with the dude that said the creepiest part was her getting dragged, you assume once she wakes up its gonna stop but then she gets dragged out the room.

also the parts were she just wanders off or just stands over the bed are a trip.

I could see why the studio wanted to add that ending, alot of people would have been pissed if there wasn't any closure at the end, but if it did end once they both stopped yelling it would have been suspenseful.

i was hoping you would see some type of figure or creature throughout the movie (besides the shadow). oh well i guess thats what kept it a mystery.

I would say its a 4/5

lol I like how once one person comes with a negative review, 100 followers come next
I didn't read any reviews or know anything about the movie other than the previews. I even went into the movie thinking it was real events that happened (friends told me that lol) And I didn't find it scary at all.... nor worth spending 10 dollars on. They should of just thrown it on TV instead of making it to the theaters.

Its a show on discovery channel about different peoples experiences in hauntings. Show is dope, the people in it are actual people. Ghost Hunters is coo but "A Haunting" has some crazy ass stories with the people who experienced them talking about it.

so am I.

*****SPOLERS*****

But how come this "demon/ghost" doesnt do shit except for when they are sleeping or at night?

Our building where 1 of our attractions is located is "haunted" but it happens throughout the day and night both. We have brought in paranormalists, a medium etc, and they all agree the location has "activity". one guy has seen apperitions, I have heard voices when only 1 other person was in building on opposite side, a few co-workers have felt breezes etc even though its warehouse with no open windows and the room she is at is no where near a location wind could even get too.

even growing up i truly believe my childhood house was haunted, but again most things that happened did so at all hours not just when dark. we had things like the washer turn on by itself, things moved from where we left them while gone, my dog would bark at 1 spot of house and never sit or lay near there ever even if we were there, etc...

so trust me i believe and am totally into it as well, but what they tried to portray was simple play on stereotypical beliefs. There was no real though in the movie what so ever

Accordin' 2 blu-ray.com (posted 2day 10/19/09):

The low-budget horror movie 'Paranormal Activity' is still enjoying a successful life in theaters, with an estimate box office of over $33 million in a limited, yet expanding release. However, its director Oren Peli has already hinted at some content that will hopefully appear on the Blu-ray, including several alternate endings.

Oren Peli has told Dread Central that the original version of the movie had an ending that screened in a few festivals (such as Screamfest LA and Slamdance) and, according to Peli, "most people generally said that they liked it." However, when Dreamworks "got involved" with the movie, it was decided to "tinker with the ending to see if we could come up with something better," and Steven Spielberg suggested a dénouement that tested "really well" and thus was eventually the one that was used.

Peli admits to having shot many endings - "I don't even want to say how many." Three were actually shown publicly: the current one, the original one, and "one other ending which we screened once that some people loved, and others thought was very inappropriate, but maybe they will all make their way to the DVD and Blu-ray."

regardless of the ending, the movie was gay. if the south park ghost hunters were part of it and pissing and shitting on themselves for an entire movie, i probably would of liked it.
