I wish I could change my pick to Pacquiao by knockout, Marquez looks slow and the added weight plus his age is going to get him knocked out.

I heard marquez was 141 pounds a week ago. I think he's coming in light. And that's smart if true. He doesn't need to bulk up too much, they both weigh roughly the same on fight night regardless if it was 135 or 126. They both weighed in the 140's both times.

I don't think he should sacrifice any of his speed for strength, doesn't matter if he's 190 pounds he's not knocking pac out ever. So he should just do what he always does - counter punch and try to out box him.

Yeah, there isn't a real need for Marquez to gain any weight. He won't be giving up any advantages in the way of size.

Sure, the catch weight is 144, but that just means neither fighter has to cut any weight for the weigh in. These guys are virtually the same size.

Leaving for Vegas in 2 days!

Nice, save $25

Tecate Offers Rebate For Pacquiao-Marquez III PPV

By Jake Donovan

Long ago establishing itself as the leading sponsor for the biggest boxing events in recent history, Tecate is once again on board to give fans an assist.

Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum announced at Wednesday’s press conference that a $25 rebate will be available through the Mexico-based beer company for this weekend’s PPV event. Topping the show, of course, is the third fight between longtime rivals Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez, which takes place Saturday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“Tecate has once again stepped up in a time when people are concerned about the state of the economy,” Arum stated in praising the company. “They will be offering a $25 rebate off of the purchase of this weekend’s event. It’s a great deal. You get together with 8-10 friends. You order a 12-pack and watch the fight, which – let’s face it – is what you’d already be doing on Saturday night. You have a great evening for less than the cost of going to a movie.”

The rebate is offered with the combination of proof of purchase of one 12-pack or two 6-packs of Tecate or Tecate Light beer, along with ordering the HBO PPV event, which is offered at a suggested retail price of $54.95 (additional charges may apply for those ordering HD feed).

It’s not a unique promotion for Tecate, which has offered a similar deal for several pay-per-view events in recent years. The rebate was popularized by the marketing for the May ’07 clash between Floyd Mayweather and Oscar de la Hoya, which remains the highest grossing pay-per-view event of all time.

More often than not, the rebate has been tied in to major pay-per-view events coming from Top Rank and Golden Boy Promotions, generally regarded as the two leading American-based promoters in the sport today.

This fact wasn’t lost on Arum, who appreciates the services that Tecate provides for the sport.

“Tecate has been a huge help for all pay-per-view events, no matter the promoter,” Arum acknowledged.

Details of the rebate offer can be found by accessing the following link: http://www.tecateboxing.com/rebate/rebate/pdfs/nov12nationalENGL.pdf

It was also announced during the press conference that Tecate will be hosting a media-only breakfast on Friday morning. It’s highly unlikely that beer will be served, although the event handlers hope that the company will find other ways to intoxicate the potential participants.

“Hopefully, some of the famous Tecate Girls will also be present,” Arum quipped of the company’s curvy ladies often to be found at all Tecate-sponsored events, whether as round card girls, handing on promotional items or simply on hand for ornamental purposes. “They don’t always make such details available, but it will be a nice treat.”

Manny better be sharper then he was against Mosley. Marquez will be counter punching all night if he jumps in with wide punches like he did in the Mosley fight. I have Manny by 9th round TKO, Marquez is just to old and worn down for Manny now. Marquez will not go out like a bitch thou, he's a real Mexican Warrior.

Did yall see clips of that presser? Manny is a fool! He went up to talk and he said he's "praying that all the boxers on fight night dont get hurt. Im also praying for Marquez not to get hurt........(crowd laughs) Wait, I mean not hurt badly......(crowd laughs louder).....wait, of course! This is boxing. (Manny laughs)"
