Manny always hit harder than Marquez, he was always more relentless than Marquez and that never mattered. Marquez isn't a still target like some people he's been fighting, he's the best counter puncher that Pac's fought since he last fought Marquez and he's proven to not be scared of fighting Pac and punching in between his punches.

This is a style match up and I don't see Marquez not giving Pac serious problems no matter what weight they fight.

co-sign. I don't understand how people can just assume Pac blows him away and gets a quick KO. For one, who the hell has ever KO'd Marquez? Two, it's a style match up. Three, Marquez has won more rounds against Pac in the two times they fought and would have won both fights if not for the knockdowns.

I think Pacquiao on top of his game is going to give him serious problems, SERIOUS problems. Marquez eats left hands all day and seems like he's getting worse in this regard and Manny's right hand over Marquez's jab will be trouble too.

I like Marquez and hope he wins, but at this weight, at this stage of their careers, it'll probably be ugly

Naner12 hit the nail on the head. That's why this fight is so hard for me to call. Manny has fought nothing but come forward no defense style fighters since Marquez. I still have the image in my head about how bad Manny looked against Mosley. Mosley made Manny miss with just a little bit of head/foot movement. Manny had problems cutting off the ring too. Maybe Manny had a off night I don't know. I know one thing for sure, if Marquez makes Manny miss he going to make him pay with counter punching unlike Mosley. But can Marquez stay away from the flash knock downs and keep up with Manny's fighting pace.

It was actually shocking that both fights went the distance. Marquez is really lucky they didn't wave it off in the first round of the first fight when he was on his back and covering his face. Most ref's would've just stopped it right there after 3 knockdowns like that.

The 2nd fight probably should've been stopped on cuts. Never forget Nacho soaking a piece of string with a coagulant and leaving it in the cut of Marquez's eye as he went back in to fight.

Roach: Winning Not Enough, Pacquiao Must KO Marquez
Article Link - boxingscene.com

By Chris LaBate

In a recent interview with the Manila Bulletin, trainer Freddie Roach stated that a twelve round decision over Juan Manuel Marquez is no longer a solid win for WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao. Roach wants Pacquiao to erase any and all doubts by scoring a knockout victory. They fought to a twelve round draw in 2004 and Pacquiao won a controversial twelve round split decision in 2008. On November 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, they clash for a third time at a catch-weight of 144-pounds.

Roach expects Pacquaio to end things in eight or nine rounds.

“Victory is no longer enough. I want Manny to KO Marquez,” said Roach from Baguio City, site of Pacquiao’s training camp. "I’d be surprised if the fight goes eight or nine rounds. Manny won’t fight him the way he did in the past.

Coming fans this is a true statment.. If Manny doesn't beat Marquez with a knock out his stock will go down.. Let's talk about it?

well, he hasn't got a KO since Cotto which to me tells me he isn't quite as powerful at 147 against bigger guys as he is at the lower weights, but I don't think marquez can be KO'd. He knows how to fight pac.

As long as it's exciting fans will be happy, even w/o a KO. People just don't want another Mosley fight and marquez certainly wont fight scared

I'll be at this one live and in the flesh.

This fight made the most sense to me, at the time it was booked. The first two fights were classics, and ended with controversial decisions.

I don't think the weight will matter much, because both guys are fighting at their natural weight, come fight night.

Styles make fights, but what I'm curious to see is if Pac's boxing has improved enough to make a difference this time around.

They better better raise the dose if they expect a ko.

“I'll have the greatest career as soon as I beat him” he said.

“The people will see another war. The people will see another great fight because I prepared myself very hard. I look for the victory” said Marquez.

Marquez said Pacquiao should be prepared for a war because he will prove his claim that he beat the Filipino boxer twice.

“He can't think about Mayweather… he has to think about November 12” he said.
