Shit I feel like they both got the hype train behind em enough to make it a even split so both parties don't feel like they takin a loss. End of the day, whoever took a 40% split aint losin anyway. In this case just based on hype, I say split it 50-50 so we can get this thing on. I think with all the Mayweather haters, he's gonna come into this fight with a chip on his shoulder.

I THINK MOST OF MAYWEATHERS TROUBLE IN THE RING CAME FROM OVERLOOKING/UNDER ESTIMATING OPPONENTS..PAC ON THE OTHER HAND TRULY HAS DIFFICULTIES WITH GOOD BOXERS SO IMAGINE PROBABLY THE BEST BOXER WITH ARGUABLY THE MOST SPEED AND I ALSO THINK THIS WILL BE AN EASIER FIGHT FOR MAYWEATHER THEN EVERYONE THINKS. JUST LOOKING AT THE PAC/COTTO FIGHT I WOULD IMAGINE PAC GETTING HIT JUST AS MUCH BUT NOT BEING ABLE TO HIT MAYWEATHER LIKE HE DID COTTO....

Man, how people could judge Mayweather for doin what has been done since the beginning of boxing is beyond me. Most champs over the course of the years have always felt like fighters should move up the ladder to earn fights. Shit even he had to do it. They don't feel like they should have to be dictated to as to who they should fight. Neither the fans or the media are the ones in the ring doin the fighting. Mayweather and Pac had to fight each fight and climb each rung to get where they are going. The difference is Pac is jumping weight classes leaving good fights on the table to take more lucrative fights (where they will pose more of a chance to get hurt and that is just by default) And Mayweather has gotten to the point where he simply fights for money just like DLH did. They just doin it differently. Pac had to get in harms way to get his and Mayweather has simply mastered his craft and wanted fighters like Margarito and Berto and so on and so forth to fight their way to being relevant enough to fight him. End of the day. Pac aint making nearly the money he is making now unless he does the unnatural and unthinkable, and God bless him, but in the end we'll see who has more trouble when their careers are over. Not money wise but health wise

It doesn't ruin any ones legacy. It's already in stone. Why ask that? My point is if you are the annointed Welterweight king, then continue your risk vs reward right?
Like I already mentioned there is NO welterweight king, the championship is vacant at the moment (but that will change after pac-floyd).

Or just come out and say you only take calculated risk, like fighting near shot fighters like Hatton and Cotto.
LOL so now hatton & cotto are shot? And Pac wasn't moving UP in weight? :smh:

when the fuck did I mention oscar? Stay on topic you nerd. Further pacquiao moved up from 135 to 147 to fight him.
Uh oh, here we go with the insults... Mayweather moved up to fight De La Hoya too.... If you give Manny credit for moving up and fighting in higher weights classes then do the same for Mayweather.

Undefeated Hatton & Chico Corrales, De La Hoya, Zab Judah, Castillo..... weren't challenges?
He hasn't taken a risk since 135 pounds.

Since then he's fought Corley, Henry Bruseles, Arturo Gatti, Sharmba Mitchell, Zab Judah (coming off of a loss to baldimor), Baldomir, Oscar De La Hoya (was retired for 2 years), Ricky Hatton (140 pound fighter), and Marquez (135 pound fighter).

He took risks at 135. But oh shit that's when he almost lost to Castillo. So maybe, just maybe ever since then he's been taking easy fights. How else can you explain his pathetic resume at 147? Like I said, Pacquiao in one fight has a better resume at 147 than floyd does!!

Pac Beat up a fighter who had been scraped by Mosely, knocked out by Margarito and mugged by Clottey. That equals a shot fighter.

All Mayweather did was put a serious beating on an undefeated Hatton, a beating that not too many men could have taken and then knock him out to wrap him up with a bow for Pac Man. Cotto can't be the best til he beats the best. Period. I'll take either Mosely or Mayweather for him to prove it

Exactly^, he beats the same fighters Mayweather already beats and gets all the credit in the world and shoots up the rankings (to #1) but then they dog Mayweather and say he doesn't fight the best. Huh.... He fought the same fighters Manny fought.

Anyone else see the double standard?

Manny and JMM go to war and the fights were very close and Manny gets credit.

Mayweather fights and dominates JMM but doesn't get any credit.
1). Pacquiao become p4p #1 then minute Floyd retired. That was BEFORE oscar and hatton.

2). The difference is Pac fought those guys GOING UP in weight. That's why he gets a lil more credit than floyd does. Floyd was a 147 pound fighter when he fought Ricky, Ricky was a 140 pound fighter. Pac had ONE fight at 135 coming up from 130, and fought Ricky at 140. That's impressive any which way you dice it up.

But why the fuck is everyone arguing? The entire point is for BOTH of them to fight eachother.

@20Sixx... You brought up Berto earlier. Mosely is gonna box rings around him and expose him. Quote me on it after the fight...

Cotto wasn't better than Zab. Zab was schoolin him and just ran out of steam. Shit ZAb was gettin with Floyd til those body shots wore him down. Somethin Cotto does in fights too. Anybody should be able to knock out a spent fighter. Cotto was giving Margarito the business till he ran out of steam. Plus the gloves, but who knew that then.

Shit boxing wise, had Zab stayed humble and trained like a maniac, he'd still be the top fighter. Floyd stays in tremendous shape so he'll reign supreme til he meets Mosely. That is the real fight.

Yeah Zab is a street nigg... he probably blows big doe doe. He starts off hot and then always runs out of gas.... I remember he was giving that bad fighter from Australia (Kotsazu sp) trouble too. If he had his head on right, he'd be the top dog.

He was serving Cotto in the beginning of their fight too. He split Cotto's lip in the first round but then Cotto started fighting dirty to recover and Zab lost his cool and let dude knock him out. That's why Floyd doesn't like getting hit much.
