^^^ Higher than Manny??!?!?!?
probably. they both accomplished different things - pac with titles in 8 weight classes is historic, and hopkins 20 middleweight title defenses is historic, as is moving up and winning the LHW championship at 41 and of course oldest person to win a world championship at 46.

hopkins longevity though right now obviously is much more than pac. I mean hopkins has been on someone's pound 4 pound list for like 12-15 years or something like that. that's pretty insane.

* Record Number of Middleweight Title Defences
* Oldest World Champion In Boxing History
* Not to mention a solid resume of wins: Jones Jr, Trinidad, Glen Johnson, De La Hoya, Tarver, Wright, Pavlik, Joppy, Jackson, Brown, Holmes, Eastman, Mercado, Allen, Echols, Vanderpool.
* His 5 losses, bar the Roy Jones defeat in the 90's, were razor-tight close decisions.

hopkins can beat bute, bute has never faced anyone as skilled as hopkins I don't think he'll know what to do. I hope it happens. I think dawson vs hopkins would be a terrible matchup as far as entertainment goes, I already know it would be boring as hell.

B-Hop put a beating on Pascal. Bute does not have the skill set to beat B-Hop. Dawson is a bad match-up for him. Dawson's long jab would keep B-Hop at bay all fight for a boring UD win. B-Hop is top 10-20 boxing all time great 4sho.

Completely agree.
I don't know why Dawson is catching heat from the media. He looked sharp. Sure there are places that he can fine tune, but everyone has things they could work on.
he just isn't very entertaining that's why and I think mentally he's weak. He had that guy in front of him the entire fight such easy target practice and yet he wouldn't keep the heat on him and still ending up getting hit with some big shots. Dawson seems to only engage when his feet are perfectly set otherwise he wont punch.

dawson hasn't looked impressive to me in several fights tbh.

I think hopkins could beat him but I certainly don't want that fight to happen because it would be just a lot of posturing and feinting for 12 rounds, hopkins has momentum right now and he's looked good the last couple fights I'd much rather him fight someone like Bute who would engage and it would be 20,000 canadians going crazy, vs a 2-3 thousand in Vegas or some shit or maybe even go to cruiseweight and take on a title holder there like the guy who beat Jones and call it a wrap.

Congrats to Hopkins. Not only didn't he win a title it was a lineal title that was Pascal's from a 1 vs 2 fight against Dawson. It's hard to see his accomplishment trumped anytime soon. I think Dawson would be a terrible match up but I thought that plenty of time with someone against Hopkins so who knows.

.. and I never understand the hate on Dawson. I don't think he'll EVER be a crusher no matter who's training him. This is what he's always been, if the knockout comes he takes it if it doesn't he doesn't care. He made Diaconu into an easy, nothing fight.

@ 2-0 .. I don't think Bute fights him at this point. Too risky and Bute has damn near guaranteed good money fights if he just waits on the Super 6 guys to batter each other and takes fights with them.
