raiders better get at least 10 wins or kiffin will be fired and raiders will have start over again. it seems to me that AL DAVIS is spending all this money to set up kiffin for a firing if raiders dont make the playoffs. DAVIS SHOULD BE HAPPY WITH 6-8 WINS.

To Al Davis' credit is he hooking Kiffin up with offensive weapons. Kiffin did promise to bring an "explosive" offense to the Raiders so Al is doing his part by putting the pieces together.

jordan is gone.

that was a nice read. mc fadden, fargas and bush is a stable of solid backs. bush is unproven but for them to let rhodes go they must see what most experts seen before he broke his leg. we should damn near lead the league in rushing this year and thats gonna give russell the safety valve he needs to develop. PLUS THOSE 2 BIG ROOKIE RECIEVERS! its gonna be an interesting season.

gregg knapp isnt calling plays.

Greg Knapp isnt good @ utilizing Rookie WRs.........
hes coaching the line. kiffin call the plays and im sure knew he needed to bring in some big down field targets for russels cannon. hopefully these rookies play like jacksonvilles big recievers. knapp does his job well though. hes listed as o coordinator but thats not his actual duty.

Greg Knapp coaching the line? He is OC, Knapp hasnt produced a successful rookie wr in sf or atl....

Why would u have a 2nd year coach who was coaching Offense in college call plays over a veteran OC, who has produced some good offenses (with good players) ?

Yes, he's the OC but he doesn't call the plays. Kiffin calls the plays you ediot! You're making yourself look dumb girl. Why are you asking stupid questions?

Pay attention to what you're asking.... boy that's a dumb question.

Wrong, the development of WR's has mainly to do with the WR coach. The raiders had fred biletnikoff a couple years ago at WR coach and he helped develop jerry porter and ronald curry. Now we have james lofton who has a good record of developing young WR's.

Yeah Tom Cable is the line coach. But I think he and Knapp both together as far as the offensive line goes. Both I think came from Atlanta to implement that zone blocking scheme. Knapp is the OC but Kiffin said that he pretty much calls his own plays.

YEP. HE'S WEARIN 20

Roster numbers
By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Thursday, May 1st, 2008 at 12:05 pm in Oakland Raiders.

The roster on Raiders.com has assigned the following numbers to new draft picks:

No. 20–Darren McFadden

No. 33–Tyvon Branch

No. 82–Chaz Schilens

No. 84–Arman Shields

No. 91–Trevor Scott

The Raiders have made any official announcements regarding the signing of undrafted free agents, and typically don’t confirm such signings until they attend the rookie minicamp.

The Raiders rookie minicamp begins May 9.

Multiple outlets have reported the Raiders have signed 12 free undrafted free agents, all of which have been posted on this blog. It’s unlikely that more than one will actually make the 53-man roster; most are hoping for a shot at the practice squad or an invitation to another camp.

The signees:

TE Chris Wagner, South Dakota State; LB Shane Simmons, Western Washington; LB Malik Jackson, Louisville; C Adam Spieker, Missouri; S Darrick Brown, McNeese State; QB Brian White, Portland State; TE Darrell Strong, Pittsburgh; OL Brandon Rodd, Arizona State; FB Matt Hahn, Penn State; DE Greyson Gunheim, Washington’ DE Derrick Gray, Texas Southern.

Darrick Brown is the prototypical Raiders free agent signing. He and his brother Marcus, who signed as an undrafted free agent with the Arizona Cardinals, are also track and field athletes. They rank 1-2 in the long jump in the Southland Conference, with Darrick’s best at 25-0 3/4 and Marcus at 24-5.

Darrick, 6-foot-4, 200 pounds, was the Southland Conference triple jump champion in 2006.
