I ain't down on dhb just yet. a rookie is still a rookie and you really don't know much by their first year. I mean, just look at eddie royal. dude was ballin his rookie year and his second year was a dud. I do think he is being underutilized though. fastest receiver on the team and yet he isn't returning kickoffs or punts. even tim brown did returns, why can't this kid?

the upcoming draft is looking really healthy to me. I think old al wants more picks and that's why we're hearing rumors about how everyone is up for trade. I think we could use some extra picks as well.

What we could use is a GM.....

As far as DHB returning KO's and Punts....why....fucc DHB, a better question is why isnt Johnnie Lee Higgins doing both of those....DHB couldnt catch in college and now all of a sudden he's supposed to play in tha NFL with those skillet hands he has....no way....first thing bout being a receiver is being able to catch....second is being able to get open....he does neither very well....

you can have all tha speed in tha world and it dont matter if you can't put yourself in positions to make plays....

towards the end of the year. DHB was not active the last few games. Murphy is going to be good at this level, do not get it twisted. I am just saying DHB did not draft himself at #7 and needs time to develop.
time to develop? fuck that... obviously any player is not gonna be at their full potential their rookie season... but DHB was fucking horrible

you can't keep using the rookie excuse... because look at every other receiver drafted last year... all of them did better than DHB... and you can't use the fact that he played with a shitty QB as an excuse either, because like stated before in this thread... Murphy did his thing

DHB can't even catch... that's not a skill you're supposed to develop your rookie season in the NFL... that's a skill you should have developed by fuckin high school

fuck DHB... I hope he proves me wrong... but I don't see him doing shit

Schilens and Murphy need to be the go to guys, off top

yes, time to develop. i mean fuck according to your logic, namdi is a bust too right? he did not get it his first year either. pateince is a virtue.

i am using the raider excuse. he plays for the disfunctional raiders. no rookie would come to our team and light it up. it is what it is.

i agree schillens and murphy are the top two guys. the raiders ahd two rookie recievers starting last year. we had no go to guy until shillens came back. DHB made a few good catches. I am not saying he is going to be an all pro but you got to give the kid 3-4 years before we start calling him a bust.

you have a point with Nnamdi... but I honestly just don't think DHB has it... I for sure don't think he was worth picking number 7 overall... like I said, I hope I'm wrong... but I just don't think I am... we'll see though....

and you said no rookie is gonna come in and light it up on the Raiders??

how bout Murphy?? like I pointed out... he was shitting on DHB... was he not??

nnamdi was a cb and had to adjust to the speed of the nfl dhb had been catching passes his whole life there is no excuse for the passes he dropped. yes every receiver drops passes but not the way this kid was doing.

Nnamdi was a Safety coming out of college and had to adjust to playing corner....and corner is one of tha hardest positions to adapt to being that they let the receivers play more physically in tha pros.....

Receiver on tha other hand is one of the easiest positions to adapt to from college to pros....every year you see a rookie Wideout go for 1000 it seems like.....DHB will probably never be any better than a 3rd WR and for the amount of fuccin money we just handed to him thats not good enough....I will say this tho....at least tha dude got a better work ethic than Russell....at least he's trying to get better

lol give the kid til the end of his sophmore season to at least show something!

i think the Raiders will finally have a good draft:

What are the top areas you're looking at in the draft?
TC: For us right now it's probably working a little bit on the line of scrimmage and the secondary and things like that. And really come away from this combine knowing what's available so you can put your finger on that.

don't get me wrong, DHB was dissapointing last year considering we took him at #7. But being patient with young players does pay off. I am not saying he will be good, I am just saying give him time to get it at the NFL level. He should not have drafted that high. It is not his fault Al Davis is an ass.

Murphy played well, there is no doubt about that. At the NFL level it is about consistency though. He needs to pick up where he left off.

Jerry Rice should be our WR coach and teach this muthafucka how to catch. He said he was willing to when he was on one of those post game shows with Raj Mathai

well yeah... I'm not saying we should cut the guy from the team... I mean of course we need to at least keep him around for a couple seasons to see if he can develop

I'm just saying I don't think he's gonna do anything great

he'll probably be good for a couple big plays here and there... but that's about it
