You right... Seymour has just been tagged....

http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/..._seymour_tagged_too/srvc=home&position=recent

As expected, the Oakland Raiders just franchised former New England Patriots [team stats] defensive end Richard Seymour [stats] at a cost of $12.398 million for 2010 but the two sides have been in ongoing contract negotiations on a long-term deal. Those talks are continuing.

Seymour recently told the Herald he would be “happy to stay with the Raiders and be a part of bringing them back to the playoffs.” That would be some accomplishment.

Although armed with a solid defense led by Seymour and Pro Bowl cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, Oakland has not reached the playoffs since its losing Super Bowl appearance in 2002 because of intractable offensive problems. Since that 2002 season, Oakland has gone 29-84, had five head coaches and not won more than five games in any season.

Seymour would like nothing better than to sign the kind of deal Asomugha grabbed after the Raiders franchised him in 2008. On Feb. 19, 2009, Oakland made Asomugha the highest paid defensive back in NFL history with a complicated three-year deal that guaranteed him $28.5M over the first two seasons. In the third year the Raiders must pay Asomugha either the average of the top five quarterbacks in the NFL or $16.875M, whichever is larger.

“I’ll take that,’” joked Seymour, who had four sacks and 47 tackles last season, his first in Oakland.

Per the Oakland Tribune, Javon Walker's salary drops to just $2.3 million in 2010.
We would say that he's as good as gone, but Al Davis moves in mysterious ways. They should have cut the fish loose two years ago. It makes no sense to keep Walker around as the fifth or sixth receiver when he can't play special teams and won't suit up for games.

Beat writer Jerry McDonald believes the Raiders coaches lost confidence in Johnnie Lee Higgins as a receiver last season.
Higgins seemed "gunshy for weeks" after taking a brutal hit from Chargers safety Eric Weddle early in the season. Higgins has had two years to establish himself as a receiver with the Raiders having little in front of him. He'll be no better than fourth on the depth chart entering training camp.

The NFL has confirmed that Raiders coach Tom Cable will not be punished for his role in a training camp altercation with assistant coach Randy Hanson last year.
Cable is being sued by Hanson, but the Napa County district attorney declined to file charges. We're pretty sure that working for Al Davis is punishment enough.

The Raiders have reportedly been "privately" discouraged by Michael Bush's tendency to tap out of games when he's on a roll.
Bush is Oakland's top all-around back and best bet for yards on any given play (career 4.6 YPC), but this may explain Tom Cable's lack of commitment to the explosive 245-pound runner. Bush's role in 2010 remains unclear.

Javon Walker......GET THA FUCC OUT OF TOWN

Johnnie Lee Higgins should be nothing more than a KO returner and Punt Returner.....he was dope at that.....seems like everytime a guy does good returning kiccs they try to put him at WR and fucc it all up....

Cable beat tha fucc out that dude....ahahahah...thats still funny to me

Michael Bush should be getting 20-25 carries a game and we should be using DMc as a Reggie Bush type dude....5-10 carries 5-10 receptions a game....move him outside, to tha slot...create match ups....cuz he's obviously not an every down bacc

DHB is the second worst draft picc Ive seen in tha last 5 years next to Jamarcus Russell...Im not gonna re-hash all that shit but WTF was Al thinking with that one.....Not to mention Crabtree came in tha middle of tha season and eclipsed DHB's stats in two games....not a good look at all.....

but I agree...we're not that far off.....all we need is a QB that isnt Jamarcus Russell......and I wouldnt mind seeing us sign Antonio Bryant....dude's got some skills....

towards the end of the year. DHB was not active the last few games. Murphy is going to be good at this level, do not get it twisted. I am just saying DHB did not draft himself at #7 and needs time to develop.
That muthafucka was supposed to develop in college... the only thing he should be doing right now is adjusting and he aint doing a good job of that so far.
