You can have or not have a chicano style, but what is a chicano style? you ask people what's a black style of rapping, well i ask you the same whats a chicano style of rapping? How come there is no 'black style' of rapping but there has to be a 'chicano style?' Rap isnt just in the US, its worldwide, so lets say a Spanish Rapper (from spain) decides to rap, does he have a chicano style because he raps in spanish? or does he have a Spanish Style?
So was rock, rap, r&b, blues, etc only a black style of music because blacks were the only ones that used that until it became consumed by the majority of America? Does that still make that a black style of music? or does that make us guilty of stealing a black form of expression?
