I was raised to never uses the N word...i have never used it in slang for everyday talk....and mos def i have never used it in any of my songs.......My father was called a N lover in Vietnam cuz he kicked it with the blacks alot......alot of the minorties stuck together then......so that word was,is and has always been banned from my life.......plus its just a common sense thing....its all about respect.
hip-hop more than any other music has brought the world and all its cultures together.
that what its about expresion and community.
u can say what u feel and no has a prob.
as far as the word nigga being used by non blacks.
if it is really a prob no one would be saying it at all.
but hip-hop has popularized this word and its used by everybody asian brown white samoan middle eastern.etc...
thats sumthing thats not gonna change.
i appretiate bay/sac and valley norteno rap equally.

If you got to act black or disregard your roots to sell records or crossover your a sell out. Plain and simple. The way rappers like Buster Brown and Tokztero put out their music seperates them from everyone else because it's different. I can buy any average ass bay album and here "nigga" and "thug" a 100 times.

I gotta show love to my central cali rapers, i feel it more. Sounds more chicano 2 me. I like alot of bayarea rap to as long as its not 2 whiteboys an 1 mexican all yellin "YO NIGGA!, NORTAY NIGGA!" LMAO but yea bayarea rap is coo tho but valley rap is better IMO.

Thats a good point..but it gos both ways.....if you gotta put your race in the music to sell records that aint good either......I keep my race and music seperate...i want white folks saying my lyrics..black folks.asians...everyone under the moon should spit my shit.......i dont like to limit my songs to a specific crowd......I also think that my music is not the forum for me to be talking about my race......now if I was a political rapper or was doing a different type of content on my raps then i might.........but ive been shunned by labels cuz I aint black...and i have been on labels where someone who is not latin asks me to mention more about my culture in my songs........like i said before that comes down to marketing......my range is wider than just the latin crowd.......ut dont get me wrong..im proud of my culture......I just choose to keep that seperate from my music........
