Why do all you guys what this in higher quality...it's a fucking interview...there is no redeeming quality of having it in a higher resolution.

I could understand if it was a music video or something, but it's an interview, Tech just talking, no film technique, nothing.

Most haven't sat with Tech before, though. They take this as a big deal. It's pointless to have it better quality because basically all you see is Tech's roadie, me in the mirror and Snug briefly, though.

Payola isn't that new of a practice to be honest. Some of the earliest FTI type work I've heard of is Stan Freberg's 'Payola Roll Blues'. Its a skit where a music producer with a band steps out the door of his studio and literally picks the first kid he sees. Then he gives him some gimmick, some lame words, and records two short songs real quick. Stan Freberg HATED Elvis, and this skit was made to make fun of him. He got his own radio show RIGHT before TV blew up, so his time to shine was lost in obscurity, but he's a genius.

Here's the skit.

No...actually, it has. It's always been around..yes..but never a HUGE issue, up until it got worse. It's more known now for a reason, bro.

You wouldn't really know unless you're familiar with radio..and have actually listened to the bitch throughout the years.

My dad worked for TV and radio almost my entire life and before it. I think I got a clue.

I speak of knowledge in a career I've begun pursuing. Not conducting life or death surgery on a living being.

Payola has increased no more than any other form of commercialism or inflation. Its a steady increase in direct relation to anything else, so proportionately, there has been no significant change.
