I can tell that your are educated, but for someone so educated, you say alot of ignorant things. How can you honestly say that voting is bullshit?
If enough people vote for something, things will change. The problem is they don't, because people like you think their opinion doesn't matter.
What if Martin Luther King thought the way you did? Or Malcolm X? Lord knows the odds were against them. But they fought anyways. They moved people. They got enough people to stand behind them to make a difference. The problem is people like you would rather sit around and complain about the way things are instead of going out and changing things to the way you want them to be.

You don't know what I do to promote my feelings or causes.....hello....I'm in radio....I have a mic at my disposal....do I talk shit? Hell yea....do I help people out? Hell yea.....do I speak at functions?....hell muthafuckin yea.....so don't put your "quit sitting around doing nothing" stamp on me. You don't know me. These are MY views...I think for myself, unlike many other people who'd rather blend in than stand alone. Voting is bullshit....it's not REAL winners are PICKED before the election even HAPPENS!
Pitty, this stuff about the master plan, is not directed at U specifically or even anyone on this board (at least not from my point of view). No one is saying that U are orchestrating the current social situation. We are talking about the people in power, those that are running shit in this country. U and I are not those people. But we must realize that the people in power are not looking out for the little guy, white, green, puce etc. They are looking after people like them, and that just happens to be white, rich, educated, your basic WASP. But we as a society should realize that this is their agenda, and we as the "little people" should not let color, social, or economic differences divided us. Instead the exchange of ideas and the unity of our common plight should bring us together to change the status quo. My lengthy 4 cents.
I feel you Shea.....but you cannot deny that a disproportionate amount of blacks and hispanics are impoverished and imprisioned and otherwise targeted to fail. I'm not saying there are not poor whites...there are.....they live in a trailor park across the street from me. But peep game....take a look at prision population for example......America is 12% black at best....yet 50% of prision population is black people......numerically that is ridiculous. It cannot be possible that more black people commit crimes than whites.....when white make up around 70% of US population. The difference is they are profiled, targeted and locked up. The war on drugs? Ever heard of that? Making crack cocaine hold a sentence three times as severe as those who get caught with powder? Where is crack found? Where is powder found? Think about this shit dude.....
What's one of the first questions they ask you on that application you fill out for college? What is your race? Don't worry, all that money you don't get goes to all of the football players who will graduate not knowing how to read. Or for that brand new weight room at your school. Then of course there is all of those scholarships for minorities. They get the money while people like me who worked our asses off through 12 years of school, 3.5-4.0 GPA, just get financial aid that we have to pay back (this does not apply to every body).
whites basically wipe out an entire race of people (native americans), enslave another for hundreds of years, steal land from mexicans in the southwest, force all of us into the poorest neighborhoods in the country and then complain that they have it bad. Pretty ironic 2 me. It ain't like this shit happened 3000 years ago (some of you act like it). Less than 60 years ago minorities (even though your the minority) had shit for rights in this country and it's gonna take us a long time to catch up with whites. Our buying power isn't shit compared to yours. Think about it for a minute. When half a century ago whites owned everything in this country and then they finally make social equality a law they expect us to be living in rich neighborhoods and prosper financially? Things don't happen overnight. Trust me, if hispanics, blacks, & indians hadn't gone through all the bullshit that whites have put us through we wouldn't be in the situation we're in now. So when people say that it's our fault that we're in poverty neighborhoods, are known for gangs, sell drugs, you better think about who put us there. Why do you think that the government gives child molestors & murderers short sentences when people who slang crack to put food on the table get life? It's not because the government gives a shit about your health it's because they know that for some people it's the only way they can survive and they don't want that certain group of people around. If you don't think this is true look at how many blacks and hispanics are in prison? 1 million of the 2 million prisoners in this country are black. If that doesn't seem wrong to you you need to pull your head outta your ass. There's nothing wrong with being proud of who you are whether your white, black, or brown. But don't defend and deny what a group of people have done and don't hide behind your bullshit reverse racism. I hate the fact that just because I'm mexican that automatically makes me a target for the cops, the people who are supposed to protect the citizens of this country, not harass them. Just because I drive a nice car they pull me over thinking I jacked it and hold me at gun point, search me, and for what? I did nothing wrong. Worse things have happened I just bring this up because it happened a few days ago. My homies go through the same shit. It's rare that you'll see whites being fucked with like that. Cops will roll up on me for no reason when I'm out. I'm not a gang member, I'm not a drug dealer, the only crime I've committed is being brown. Whatever though. I'm not complaining I'm just telling you how it is.

The rest is owned by private parties, major coporations, people like george bush and his family, etc. Trust me, if the government doesn't want a law passed, it won't be passed. Unless you want to take over the country it ain't gonna happen. When the US government wants something to happen, they'll make it happen. Look at the bush/gore election if you don't believe me. What good did your voting do?
