I was just thinkin they need a guy with a Chainsaw or something.. Would be sick if they could do it.

I'm so fucking glad they went more Gore this time around.. I love how it's like a horror movie character. Like Freddy Kruger.. First movie is scary, then it gets popular.. then they turn it to comedy.. it pretty much dies because of it.. then their like, "hey we need to make it scary again".. then it starts the life in it again.. It's like common sense.

They need Baraka.. Loved him in MK2... We need Kano back too!

Can't believe their bringin back Stryker.. he needs a complete overhaul.. and not lookin like a mall security guard.

//\\ Holy shit that pic is huge, lol

^Marcus Fenix with chainsaw bayonet in tow?
haha, just saw this article now.

Epic Games' Cliff Bleszinski is one of the most outspoken developers on Twitter. He's fun to follow, as his humor and enthusiasm for games makes him often seem more like another fan of games than a developer. Today, he had an exchange about the possibility of putting a Gears of War character -- perhaps Clay Carmine -- in the legendary Mortal Kombat fighting franchise.

Today, Bleszinski retweeted an exchange with one of his followers, who had commented "Clay Carmine for exclusive 360 character in the new MK would be an AWESOME contrast to Kratos." Bleszinski responded by saying, "I agree! Midway, where u at?" before catching himself with the followup comment, "Oh yeah, Midway dead."

After another follower suggested he take the matter up with Ed Boon's Mortal Kombat team or Warner Bros. Games, the current corporate home of the MK franchise, Bleszinski responded again, "Yeah. Must figure out a Gears char in MK!"

While this is by no means an announcement of any sort, it's pretty cool to think about the burly macho men of Gears of War invading the gonzo world of Mortal Kombat. Here's to hoping.

i was thinking mass effect, gears of war or master chief lol...alan wake?
dante ( from dantes inferno )

honestly i see no xbox iconic character that could trump kratos...kratos would fit perfectly into the whole brutality of the game...

and believe me they wont be adding any monsters with chainsaw hands....

Carmine? WTF Cole is more "iconic" than Carmine, or like Siccx said, dude with the staff with chainsaws on each end. Although he would probably fit in better with the Soul Caliber crowd since that game is weapon based.

It's a long shot, and the game wasn't well received by most people, but man Rick Taylor from Splatterhouse would trump Kratos...
long shot? its not even a possibility...for the simple reason that splatterhouse is a mediocre game with high amounts gore...that would be a terrible 360 exclusive plus its on ps3 too...

for an xbox 360 exclusive character you have to think of characters that are solely for that console and not the other...

i would love to see dante ( from dantes inferno) vs kratos just because the games fighting mechanics were so similar but that wont happen

You guys are thinking in terms of weaponry, but the soul of this MK is fighting with weapons being secondary attacks.

I think they'd use Carmine because he's smaller than the main characters of the game, and likely fit the proportions of the MK characters.

Fenix is fucking huge in terms of upper body, and I can see how bulky he would be and stick out. And I doubt they'd take liberty of shrinking him down to be proportioned; they'll just get a character that already has the same stature as the main characters.

Plus, Carmine's die a lot in the series. It could be pretty funny.

If it has to be a Halo character, I don't want Chief, throw in Emile so he can get to hacking body parts with that Kukri of his.

I figure since Reach is more recent it would make some sense, Chief is more iconic, but Emile just looks cooler.

I'm a 360 guy, and even I believe Master Chief could not hold a candle against Kratos. If anything it needs to be a character from Gears, Halo is more for kids.

Well when they were making console exclusive characters for Soul Calibur 2, they gave the xbox version Spawn, so it doesn't even have to be a character from a 360 game period, let alone a franchise,

Spawn was relevant because I think it was cross promotion for a Spawn game coming out on the XBOX around the same time.

While MK is a bigger and more well known IP, their games have been mediocre at best since they switched to the ps2 generations. They've lost hype to everyone outside of the nostalgia demographic. People that enjoy fighting games period check for the new SC games, people who played MK as kids check for the new MK games.

Spawn was relevant because I think it was cross promotion for a Spawn game coming out on the XBOX around the same time.
So what, there are gonna be ZERO games with cool characters coming out around that time?
