I have to say that's one of the best fights I've seen from Pac-man ....Cotto did take it all the way, pac was looking for that K.O. but couldn't make it happen.

Mayweather Jr. don't wanna see Pac-man though!

I felt that Manny actually felt bad for Cotto and backed up in the 10th and on. There is a difference between playing it safe and just holding back. Manny has a good heart and didn't want to hurt Cotto more than he had to. That's how it seemed anyways. Pretty sad actually...

yeah i agree with most of yall this fight was a good one and it was a raw fight but pacman is just unstoppable right now, respect to cotto cuz he stood his ground but in the end the best man one

on a side note..mayweather if he really thinks he is the best pound for pound fighters he would take the fight with pac-man and i kno most say that if the money aint right he wont do it but fuck that it shouldn't just be about that, he runs his mouth and wont do it...i mean he doesnt even wanna fight mosley so its all fucked

but big props to manny...who can be next?

Yea, It's hard for me to deny that Cotto is past his prime after that. Possibly with a better trainer, he could mount a comeback---I mean, Cotto's getting Slaughtered and Santiago's saying "use your jab" fucking idiot. Cotto looked decent though going on, even after the first knockdown, but He looked tired around the 6th round, WAY TO EARLY to be gassed in a championship fight. He doesn't seem to know how to conserve energy anymore. The times he got blasted by Pac, he was going in to exchange when he was still clearly out of breath. I hope he sticks around though, still one of my favorite fighter.

Pac looked awesome! Str8 WARRIOR!!!!! He took everything Cotto had, the body shots, the left hook, str8 rights (maybe 1 or 2) and just banged his gloves, like "yea baby".

....I still wouldn't bet against FLoyd though.

Floyd and Manny next.... It's already written. The major difference is Floyd has superior boxing and defensive skills and is a way more disciplined fighter than Cotto. Had Cotto stayed with what was working (Tight defense, Body work, and leading with the jab) and not got sloppy, he possibly could have won this one. Instead his early confidence and warrior bravado took him out of his game plan and led him to try that reckless bully shit and got caught with a punch as he was coming in. You can't walk right at a fighter like Manny who throws punches from all angles and not cover your self up. That one punch in the 4th round changed Cotto from an aggressive and confident fighter, into a hurt fighter in survival mode. Cotto has no defense when he is hurt. He doesn't hold, he doesn't run, instead, he put his back on the ropes and gets blasted. Finally he went in retreat mode and that only got him to the 12th just to get the fight stopped anyway.

I gotta give Manny props though, he's one of the greatest finishers in the game. He's not lettin up once he smells blood. And the fact that he stays disciplined while being aggressive will cause any fighter problems. Great job Manny.

Floyd is a different breed of fighter though, so please don't be fooled into thinkin a fight with Floyd will have the same results.

Cotto disappointed me with his power, i thought he would be more effective but didnt expect him to be winning in jabs and still get worked. The hand speed of Manny was to much for Cotto but at least Cotto didnt get knocked out which i said was gonna happen we all know that was a wack stoppage but obviously Manny had the fight well in hand. Cotto will be fine as long as he fights bigger fighters and hopefully gets revenge on Margarito.

Manny will not beat Mayweather i will tell you that much but will be obviously Floyds biggest test.

There's too much money in a fight with Manny for PBF not to do it. Floyd is about money, and Manny is where the money is at. The fight will happen unless one of them dies.
Mayweather is all about dodging anyone that can beat him and only fighting guys he knows he'll beat, all the while making as much money as possible. Manny is too much of a threat to his unblemished record for the money to make him want to box Pacquiao.

after pbf fights, his opponent looks just as pretty as he does...manny turns fools into alien looking mufuckas. pbf can't say he's the best pound for pound and try to duck manny by making money the issue at this point. if this fight happens i dont give a fuck how much the tickets cost ima be there!

not me

Pbf is too smarter, faster and stronger for Pacquiao
i'll have to disagree with all 3 of those statements. everybody thought cotto was going to be the smarter and stronger fighter tonight and manny proved the world wrong once again. pbf might be a lil better rounded tactically, but the speed is pretty close between the 2, and he definately don't pack no punch like manny. you on one thinking that!

What does PBF not want? A 10+ million dollar pay day?
People act like he is terrified to fight Manny. PBF would have beat Cotto 12-0

I'm as anti Floyd as it gets, but the guy isn't afraid to fight Manny. We are talking about grown men who are professional boxers. I doubt he is literally "scared" to fight anyone in the ring.

I know everyone wants to see the outcome but chances are that its going to be a 12 round cat and mouse game and its not going to be as explosive as the media is going to make it out to be.

there is no denying it - Pacquiao is one of the greatest fighters of all time. He most definitely is a once in a lifetime type of guy.

After the first round, I thought it was going to be a war and feared for Manny. Cotto's jab was so strong it appeared to really stun Manny and I thought cotto just might be too strong. But Manny adjusted and proved to us all that his chin is amongst the best in the game. Not only did he take cotto's best shots, but he took cotto's best combinations and there is a big difference between getting hit with one good shot than say getting hit with 3 or 4 good shots in a row and manny ate everything cotto could dish out.

I've never seen cotto beat down like that. Even against Margarito he won like 5 rounds and margarito more than likely had loaded gloves. Pacman dominated on all fronts - speed, footwork, defense, counter punching and yes, even power. Brilliant performance. I feel bad for Cotto, he got worked and it wasn't even competitive after the 3rd round or so. And I agree Pacman went easy on cotto in the later rounds, just like he did against Oscar. He didn't give them respect, rather, h pitied them, as if he didn't want to punish them any further and sincerely felt bad for beating the shit out of them.

Pacman vs Mayweather will happen. And whoever wins will win the unofficial crown of the greatest fighter of our time.
