Back to my original point, Mexicans are better individually than team USA, but have not played to their full potential collectively on the international level. Like I've been saying, we'll see how they do now that Mexico's finally playing well and finally getting some stability at coach and on the squad. Too much shuffling has made the team look terrible the last years...

You're already expecting them to lose in August from what I read in the other thread...
lol we have NEVER won in azteca. place is a viscous home field advantage. I don't think gettin outta azteca with a point is a bad result, shit any points on the road in the Hex is a decent result.

if we can pull it off I dunno. But its gonna be real hard.

the history of that place and the USA just never looks good for the USA.

*edit*

and to be honest I don't really think mexico is THAT much better overseas. I mean give me some examples? Marquez? dude is a liability back there.

Dos santos couldn't do shit at tottenham.

vela hasn't done shit for Arsenal

I mean who are you talking about
Vela hasn't done shit? LMAO...

Marquez is on the best team in the world and starts when he's healthy. Him alone shits on all the US players overseas combined.

Salcido starts, Pardo started, Maza Rodriguez gets good minutes, Galindo starts, N. Castillo had a good run for a while but now rides the bench, G. Franco is on Villareal, their coach Javier Aguirre was coaching Atletico Madrid, etc.,,

Yeah, it's a crazy environment. Similar to the one in Columbus, Ohio in terms of comfortableness for the Mexican team. Still, for someone who talks so much shit on Mexican soccer I'd think you'd have more confidence in your team but no...real recognize real.

vela has what like 10 caps for Arsenal.. wooow

ok lets play this game...

edu started for the winners of the SPL and beasley also plays for them

Tim Howard starts for everton and is a savage there and also played for Man U

Clint Dempsey starts for the 7th place team I believe in the EPL and could be moving to Everton last I herd

Micheal Bradley starts in the Bundesliga so does Cherundelo when he's healthy

brad guzan and brad freidal are the 1 and 2 keepers and aston villa

Bocanegra starts for Rennes in the French league.

I'll give Props all day to Tim Howard and Brad Friedel, those guys are a couple of the best goalies in the world and I can't deny that. Dempsey and Donavon are good, Jozy has potential. The others are nothing special IMO, solid players but not going to change the game, especially overseas...

Yeah I agree, he's the weak link in the back. Then again, anyone playing alongside Puyol will look bad...

fair enough. I think Edu has the chance to be a real real real good player. if he can recover from his injury.

Donovan will go overseas after this season(i hope) and we will see if this time it works out.

last I herd jozy was going to Olympiacos in Greece so we will see if that pans out

donovans move fell thru w/ livorno and he probably wont move to europe until his sponsoships run out it sounds like

vela played really well in arsenals youth team but he has only scored one goal in the premier league.... he needs to leave arsenal imo them buying arshavin when they already had ade and rvp was a sign that he's not going to get any shine @ arsenal

Yea I'd like to see him leave Arsenal too. Him and Dos Santos both showed last game that they have more potential than anyone on the US squad IMO..

Not to mention Guardado who is the best player in Mexico today.

Fedex, forgot to mention Guardado as well. He CARRIES La Coruna, US players overseas can barely carry their duffel bags compared to him...

I don't think talks are dead with them.....and what I herd is that the sponsors just don't want donovan to leave mid season with LA to Europe for some reason or another

hasn't he been loaned out the past few years? to some team in spain or somethin
i think he spent the second half of last season back w/ arsenal... they had injury problems w/ their forwards and for awhile they were starting bendtner and walcott or some shit and not scoring any goals. had like 3 nil nil draws in a month. from what ive seen of vela, which isnt much, i like him and i think he could do well somewhere but maybe not EPL.

i think if you wanna compare mex vs. usa players on how they did abroad
usa gets the edge just based on timmy howard. no players from either country have really made any noise at the top flight level besides howard. he is indispensible for everton who could be a top 4 team this season IMO if man city flops as hard as i think they will

Yeah I guess I have to agree with that Tim C, Howard means more to his team than any Mexican player does overseas. But in terms of quantity and quality across the board, I still think Mexicans make more noise overseas than USA players. Marquez, Guardado, Salcido, Vela, Pardo, Torrado, Galindo, Franco, Dos Santos, Galindo, etc.,
