The people I'm watching with were like "Conor is easily winning this, clearly up 6 rounds to none". I just laughed and said "wait"

Conor did way better than expected. He looked solid in the first 6 rounds, even though I knew it didn't mean much at the time. I wish he would have hired a real boxing coach instead of just getting trained for this by his MMA trainer John Kavanaugh, Conor might have looked even better.
my opinion, he would have looked foolish against Floyd if he hired a real boxing coach. they woulda just told him that he's doing everything wrong and you woulda seen Conor in there lookin like a boxer along with that coaches game plan, while he dont even understand Conor. that would show a disrespect to boxing and i know Conor respects every martial art/combat sport. him and Kavanagh and Roddy made what was vs Mayweather.

i think the issue he had was his stamina, but i think that stamina got drained by nerves and adrenaline. he looked over whelmed once he actually stepped into the ring. he didnt look as relaxed as in UFC once the bell rang. he says he can handle the bright lights and he had bright lights in UFC but never nothing like this. nobody ever. i think it was too much.

his game plan was horrible, regardless of fatigue. he shoulda baited and countered more. even when Floyd was walkin him down, if that same sequence was in an mma fight, Conor woulda landed uppercuts, multiple chances. he didnt look the same. he was also doin those weird taps on the back of the head. he doesnt even do that in mma. i think it was the nerves.

the stance he used was more like the Paulie vid. he didnt change levels. no "karate" stance. the low level of his stance. he fought Floyd in his highest level. dont see why they completely abandoned every level. i dont know if im trippin but i saw a little Nick Diaz in him. would make sense. and he cant really use the lower levels of his stance if he's fighting like Nick Diaz (any Nick fans see it?) so somethins gotta go and it was interesting. i get it. all in all, i mighta gave Floyd maybe 1 rd before the 10th. them rounds where Floyd starting getting aggressive were the rounds where Conor was slippin a lot of Floyd punches and combinations. a tired Conor. people said Floyd didnt look as good or looked old or just giving excuses (not Floyd tho). i think that devalues what Floyd just did.

Does anyone feel the ref stopped the fight too early?
he shoulda let Conor drop. give him a 10 count. this was supposed to be boxing rules. i get the ref was tryna protect Conor since he was 0-0 in boxing but thats a joke. sure Mayweather mighta still ko'd him after the 10 count. and maybe not. but an mma fighter of Conor's caliber should been allowed the 10 count boxing rule.

There were probably 10 plus unanswered punches before the ref did his job, without that the punches only get more forceful and meanwhile the fighter taking punishment is getting more vulnerable to life threatening damage.

The ref did his job so the icu and the morgue don't have to.

watch the ending sequence. count how many shots tired as fuck McGregor slipped. the icu and morgue woulda told the ref to chill out and give Conor 10.

Yep it's his job to protect the fighters. We have a bunch of severely brain damaged boxers as a result of the ref not stopping it, just over the past few years alone.

Conor looked so done by that point, but the main thing is he wasn't defending himself, had his arms down and hadn't thrown a punch in a long while. The ref saved him from being literally knocked out.

Or Conor could have taken a knee, since he was physically unable to protect himself. Take a knee, get the count, get up at 8, fight again. Wouldn't have mattered though there was still 2 minutes left in the round, way too much time to survive.

your a puro boxing fan watching an 0-0 vs Mayweather. i dont expect you to see it.

1 maybe 2 rounds. i watched it twice since watchin it live.
What? As a boxing fan I should know how to score a boxing fight. I wouldn't expect to know how to perfectly score an MMA fight though.

Since this was a boxing fight, we score it by boxing criteria and using boxing criteria you're 100% wrong for saying Floyd only won 1 or 2 rounds.

How do you think the stoppage happened? Floyd was just getting beat the entire fight until the 10th when Floyd magically got a stoppage? Or could it have been that Floyd was landing more and more shots on Conor since the 4th round and winning those rounds? I suspect you're just trolling me though so I guess it's pointless then.

Conor could have taken a knee. He didn't. He put himself in that position of not defending himself and giving the opportunity for the ref to stop the fight. That's on him.

the name of the game is to hit and not get hit in 3 minute intervals?

not the entire fight. i told you i gave Floyd maybe 2 rds.

every thing you dont like reading is not trolling. you devalue that term. but yes this is pointless.

Sure, and Floyd landed a lot more shots than McGregor from rounds 4 to rounds 10. He also landed at a much higher percentage.

So not only did Floyd hit McGregor more he didn't get hit more than McGregor.

not the entire fight. i told you i gave Floyd maybe 2 rds.
Well you actually said first that you maybe gave him one round, now it's maybe 2 rounds. Since there are only a potential of two rounds you scored for Floyd, which rounds were they? Was it rounds 8 and 9, prior to the stoppage in round 10? If so, Floyd made Conor miss most of his punches in rounds 4, 5, 6 and 7 so it just doesn't make any sense, just doesn't add up here.

It's not that I don't like like what you're saying it's that it makes no sense at all to only score 1-2 rounds. That's why I assume you're trolling.

Both sides, thr majority anyways, seem in agreement from what I've seen. Conor did better than expected, didn't make a fool of himself, but Floyd won fairly easily as was expected and that Conor got the early rounds, Floyd won everything else.

my bad. i meant Floyd got atleast a rd. maybe 2 at the most, like a margin of error. 1 or 2.

I dont think i made a prediction on here but i thought Mayweather would completely dominate not realizing that Conor really is a middleweight fighter. He wouldnt do so well technically against a 160 lb fighter. Yeah he has no experience really in boxing so doing what he did he gets props but everybody seems to be fooled that he isnt much bigger then Mayweather

all in all I think this is a win for conor, he stood toe to toe with the best defensive boxer of this generation. won rounds( I gave him 4, maybe 5) and played with him a bit too. we all know how it was gonna go down with Floyd. the only thing that irks me is that conor's gas tank is shit. he's even saying it is. what may have happened if his stamina was all there might've been something crazy. I 100% disagree with the judges tho, they all had Floyd up big. his awkward style gave Floyd problems in the beginning too. those uppercuts were pretty nasty from conor.
LMAO! Conor won 2 rounds tops and that was the first two and thats only cause Floyd wanted to figure out his timing and power lol. Got Em!!

goes to show how easy it is to box compared to mma in mma floyd is out cold in 10 seconds and conor lasted 10 rounds with the best boxer
You saying Floyd would be knocked out in 10 seconds hold no weight. I say Floyd does better in the cage than McGregor did in the ring cause he was a joke and got toyed with and walked down buy a lot smaller fighter who was in his 40's and got bullied lol. Got Em!!

This dude said Floyd won 1 or 2 rounds! I wont even respond further. Put the crack down though. Got Em!!

MMA fighters and MMA fans are only gonna look at the positives for them because one of the hardest strikers in the MMA sport looked like he had no reason wearing any pair of gloves. Manny is much smaller than Floyd and even Floyd had to fight on the outside because he Manny knows how to punch. All the reasons MMA fans and fighters had for Conor to have a chance and he did it all and Floyd just walked right through those punches. The boxer that doesn't take risks for shit inside the ring took more risks than ever because Conor had no power in his punches. That's a fact. And Floyd was just looking for the KO. He didn't care about the rounds.
