marquez and mosley didn't hide behind bood tests and getting more than a 50/50 split. best way to duck a fight is make ridiculous demands and do things to fuck the negotiations up before they even start. floyd has made ducking into an art.
Seems like a small demand. A teaspoon of blood,of blood. Pac-man got to pic the wight, gloves, ring size, and he wanted some crazy amount of money for every pound floyd was over. All floyd asked for was some blood

Ring Magazine’s pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao says a proposed fight against undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr. programmed possibly for May 5 next year will be a good one – if it pushes through.

Pacquiao who represents the lone congressional district of Sarangani was speaking to members of Congress and friends who gathered at the Resorts World Hotel and Casino for a dinner party hosted by the Hotel and Casino in honor of Pacquiao.

Pacquiao said "Hopefully, the next fight, is Mayweather. "However," he quickly added "I am not saying it will push through" leaving some doubt as to whether negotiations would succeed.

Pacquiao expressed confidence it would be a good fight should it push through and invited the congressmen to watch.

At the same time he predicted that he will win decisively in his next fight, considering his third fight with Mexican legend Juan Manuel Marquez was close. In fact Pacquiao’s majority decision win was somewhat controversial.

The eight division champion and “Fighter of the Decade” admitted that fight fans were disappointed that the Marquez fight was close since they expected him to win handily . Trainer Freddie Roach had predicted a knockout win in a maximum of nine rounds while strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza had said the fight wouldn’t last more than three rounds and could possibly end in one.

Pacquiao’s adviser Michael Koncz who met with Mayweather at his Las Vegas Gym was visibly angry that stories on his visit came out and appeared particularly upset with Top Rank promoter Bob Arum who confirmed the meeting in an overseas telephone conversation with BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard.

Mayweather’s adviser Leonard Ellerbe was quoted as saying Mayweather and Koncz didn’t talk about the fight during Koncz’s Las Vegas visit while Mayweather himself asked Team Pacquiao to begin negotiations and sign a contract for a May 5 megabuck fight expected to be the biggest fight ever..

Mayweather said to fighthype.com "I've been told May 5 is open" adding that "Losing is in Pacquiao's mind because he lost just last week. He lost to Marquez three times. May 5 is the date, sign the contract, I'm waiting."

However, the undefeated Mayweayther who had earlier scored a lopsided shutout win over Marquez said "I can't be sitting waiting all day, you want to fight let's make it happen. I'm here, I'm waiting, what's going on? I can sign today. If I sign today you better sign tomorrow."

Pushing his demand for blood testing Mayweather went on "You said you're a clean athlete and you said you'd take the test so let's do it.I can't be sitting waiting all day. You want to fight, let's make it happen. If I sign today you better sign tomorrow."

Following Pacquiao's points victory over Marquez, trainer Freddie Roach was quoted by CNN saying he hoped a clash with Mayweather would happen because he added, "I think it would be the best fight in the world and I would love to see it."

nobody in the history of boxing has ever asked for blood, so why bring it up now? they already test for PED's and the tests work. now that the pac agrees to the tests, floyd suddenly wants more than 50/50. ducky boy floyd

A fucking tablespoon of blood and you walk away from $50 million. Then a year later Manny start saying that he will agree to OSDT. Why did Manny walk away from the March 2010 fight because of OSDT, only to turn around and agree a year later to OSDT after Mayweather was on vacation is the question Manny fans should be asking? Now Mayweather calls his bluff and again Manny is hiding behind the media and his promoter.

actually floyd wanted 154 pounds when they first started talking, obviously pac wanted 147 pounds and that's part of why pac asked for the $10 million penalty for being over weight - because floyd originally wanted 154 pounds and since he came over weight against marquez. $600k wasn't nothing to floyd so they had to make harsher penalties.

A teaspoon of blood would have been fine with team pac two years ago too, they just didn't want to give blood on the day of the fight or even close to the fight, which the USADA couldn't gaurantee. After floyd fought mosley (and then ortiz) the USADA took blood 18 days out and something like 10-14 days out, team pac has no problem with that so they agree to the full testing.

8oz gloves are standard for welterweight fights. Cotto-Margarito, etc, that's the norm. If it's at 154 pounds, then it would be 10oz gloves unless for special instances.

The ring size was standard ring size, nothing small or nothing extremely big.

Floyd said he's sign today, so what's the hold up.

They were pretty quick to sign to fight other fighters...
the problem is floyd, he doesn't want the fight. he's already proven that you can't believe anything that comes out of his mouth. "manny is next" "I never said manny is next"---ducky boy floyd

What's the hold up now?
a little impatient man, like I said give it some time. Aint nothing happening today.

floyd says he's ready to sign now. Cool. Does that mean he has a contract written out that all the lawyers have gone over? All the potential investors have been thoroughly looked at, the venue details, all the financing, all that stuff has been worked out? Come on tony, you know better than that. A fight that can generate this kind of money you think you can just fax over a piece of paper sign, have each guy sign it and that's it? lol you're not thinking right. This is something that will generate well over a $100 million dollars, probably around $300 million all things considered.

Here you go with your misinformation again. Mayweather offered Manny OSDT with a 14-day no test window for the March 2010 fight. Why did Manny walking away from the fight then??? You are making excuse again and you know it.
