I think more realistically he simply wasn't happy with the percentage of money arum was taking, which is totally legal if it's in the fine print. That's why he left Top Rank when he fought oscar, he paid arum like a million dollars or more to buy out his contract, in order for him to make more money against oscar (he paid golden boy a smaller percentage).

Manny is not going to fight Mayweather, he run back to his country to try to blame Bob Arum and Top Rank for the fight not happening. If Manny wanted to fight Floyd the fight would've already happened. I said it months ago Mayweather should move on and fight someone else, no point in waiting on scary ass Manny and his 100 excuses on why he can't fight Mayweather. We went from not agreeing to OSDT, to now my promoter doesn't want to make the fight with Floyd. And the dumb ass Manny fans is eating this new excuse up like this shit makes any sense.

well richard schaefer of golden boy has confirmed people from pacquiao's camp have contacted him to negotiate for the floyd fight and not bob arum. so what does that say? At the least it's pacquiao putting pressure on top rank to make the fight. not sure what else you want pac to do.

I want Manny to make the Mayweather fight at all cost. It's fun when Mayweather offered Manny OSDT with a 14 -day no test window, the Manny fans still said that Floyd ducked him. Top Rank = Manny So if Top Rank don't make the fight then Manny is ducking Mayweather.

sure, that's why team pac tried to make the fight a couple times already, agreed to everything and only when the ost's were brought up the first time did the negotiations fail. if they didn't want the fight they wouldn't have got that far into negotiations. further pac could have easily fought at 140 and just said he's too small, he never did any of that.

Arum's Mayweather-Pacquiao Deal May Block Golden Boy

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum is currently negotiating with at least two investment groups who are interested in staging a welterweight mega-unification between champions Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. According to Arum, Pacquiao's agent, Michale Koncz, is also involved in the negotiations.
Arum indicates that one of the investment groups is talking directly with Mayweather, without the involvement of Golden Boy Promotions. Mayweather is a promotional free agent and usually hires Golden Boy to co-promote his events.
“[The group] is also in talks with Mayweather. Mayweather is going solo,” said Arum to the Manila Bulletin.
Arum told the paper that Mayweather reportedly doesn't want Golden Boy to be involved in the ongoing negotiations. Despite reports to the contrary, Arum says he is “seriously exploring a Mayweather fight.”
In an earlier BoxingScene news brief, it was reported that Koncz recently visited Mayweather's Las Vegas gym and spoke with the fighter. Mayweather's adviser, Leonard Ellerbe, denied that any business related matters were discussed between Koncz and Mayweather. It is hard for many to believe that Koncz traveled, from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, to visit Mayweather's gym for a photo-op.
Meanwhile, Top Rank's Arum has a smile on his face. The early pay-per-view figures for Pacquiao's trilogy fight with Juan Manuel Marquez, which took place on November 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, is going to generate the Filipino star's biggest buyrate number. Arum expects a minimum buy figure of 1.4 million.

So now we believe everything that Bob Arum has to say?? The same Bob Arum that said Mayweather turned down $100 million to fight Manny about 8 months ago. I don't believe shit Top Rank or Team Manny has to say. This all sounds like another Top Rank media game to save face for ducking Mayweather. When Leonard Ellerbe or Big Al confirms the negotiations then I will believe it. I smell team Manny bullshit again.
