Eminem never made a dope album to me. He's a gifted rapper but his beat selection is pretty bad. I liked most of the slim shady ep and about half of the slim shady & marshall mathers lp's. each album I liked less and less tracks and I didn't even check for his new shit.

How you gonna roll with Dr Dre and have wack beats? I don't understand that shit....

If some of you cats really think Eminem is lyrically the best out, or the best ever you might want to dig a little bit in the underground... There are tons of great emcee's that have better flow, rhymes scheme's, and lyrics than Em... In the music industry he's being pushed harder than any other artist, and has been for a long time... I respect everyone's opinion on the matter, as maybe you don't listen to the same range of hip-hop I do...
I listen to a huge range of hip hop... and I'm not saying Eminem is hands down the best ever... but he is one of them... mainstream... underground... whatever...

Everyone has their own taste I guess... I like the SSLP, and the MMLP, and various other tracks he's released... but, to me he's not up to par with others I've heard... His fans will still call him the greatest, or other people will hold him high to a certain lyrical level, but to me he's not up there...

It's like asking people what the best restaurant is, and them saying McDonalds... We all know McDonalds isn't the best, but they're one the most well known in the world, because of advertising and promotion... The same applies to Eminem... He's everywhere, from TV to the internet, and then the radio... It's easy to get swept up in the hype...

I feel like that analogy is insulting my intelligence... I can think for myself and don't base my opinion of an artist on their level of popularity, I don't even listen to the radio or watch music videos on TV anyways

It could be possible that you connect with Eminem through his music... I won't dispute that, because we've had discussions about hip-hop in the past, and I see where you stand... At the same time I will say that most the people I know that hold him to the level of the "GOAT" or Top 5 of all time, are the same ones that turn a blind eye to any talent that's not on the radio...

The truth is, that Eminem would not be where he is without a multibillion dollar corporation pushing him... He has been in the position to help other artists succeed, but has failed to do so... even his close friends... I look at hip-hop as something more than money, it's about real emotion and feeling... It happens too often that mainstream artists lose that in the process of gaining "stardom"...

I do believe he's naturally gifted, but at the same time think he's being fake to sell records and appease fans...

well, I think most popular artists wouldn't be where they are without multibillion dollar corporations pushing them, there are tons of mainstream artists that are popular because they have a label/radio/tv behind them pushing them... the difference is Eminem happens to have talent and a lot of these other guys don't

when you say Em has been fake are you referring to his music or the fact that he hasn't been able to put other artists on

if you're referring to his music I completely disagree, I think he says how he feels and puts his whole life and his emotions out there... I don't think that's fake

maybe some people think he sold out because he used "pop beats" on Recovery... I personally liked a lot of the production on that album... that just come down to personal preference

if you're referring to him not putting other artists on, I agree he hasn't done much... tried with D12, but they're just not that good (except Proof) I'd like to see him put on Royce... but I mean who knows... there's a lot of politics and bullshit that goes on behind the scenes, and without knowing all that stuff it wouldn't be fair to pass judgment in that regard

I'm just going off how I feel about his music... not anything else... I don't know the guy personally... so that doesn't matter to me

speaking of crappy music taste, TECH N9NE can now be added to that list. - In your opinion. His shit is garbage now.. - In your opinion. nuthing but fanboy Juggalo dick riding bullshit. - In your opinion. Back on topic.. eminem was good MM album and before that. - In your opinion. I dont like his shit anymore either. - Good for you.
By the way, can someone please, for once, explain to me what Juggalo dick riding music is? How do you determine what Juggalo dick riding music is? What do the beats have to sound like? What do you have to rap about to be classified in that Tech hating genre? Bunch of ppl say that shit, but can never explain it. I look forward to hearing your unprepared responses because your just talking out of your ass.
