probably a little bit of both. i dont like the beatles all too much but i dont deny their talent. they were great musicians. im not saying you gotta like dude but people sayin hes weak and all that lets get real.

You do realize this is a GANGSTA rap message board right? Em has never made the type of music this site was made to cater to. If I want to listen to real hip hop I'll pop in some Aesop Rock who is better than Eminem in terms of lyrics, delivery, creativity and any other criteria you can judge a rapper in, in my OPINION. Which is all it comes down to at the end of the day, no one can have a right opinion, because it's a personal preference. What does it matter if he gets the "props he deserves" on a site aimed at people who listen to a different genre of music than he makes? Different strokes for different folks after all.

actually i was here when this site started and it is called the siccness. eminem fit that criteria a lot more than those lyrical monsters in your sig any day. aesop rock is dope too im not gonna hate on dude youre welcome to your opinion. but if youre here to talk about gangsta rap why you even click on an eminem thread? stop contradicting yourself.

i haven't really felt his music since around his 2nd LP. the music he use to make was raw and will probably be timeless. the new shit by him is forgettable to me. i don't think i've checked for eminem since around 2003.

Who said I was only here to talk about gangsta rap? I said the site is aimed at gangsta rap fans, never said that was my only reason to be here. I used to listen to Em when he first came out, I don't listen to his new cd's tho, just not my taste. He's a good rapper but he made an album aimed at the mainstream with this one. He's got units to sell tho I'm not mad at him, just gonna pass on it.

i agree with ya on the aimed at the mainstream, production wise, lyrically not even close. game, 50, gucci, jeezy, and many other supposed "gangsta" rappers are far more commercial and mainstream than anything eminem does lyrically. i was hoping to hear some grimier production but the lyricism made up for it to me.

That Tupac loyal to the game album eminem produced was horrible as hell. I didnt like not one song on it or even bought it. He dropped the ball on that and that encore album bc they dropped the same quarter of 2004 and were wack bc production.

On topic I thought his new cd was dope. Not a classic but better than most shit out in mainstream in my opinion.

If some of you cats really think Eminem is lyrically the best out, or the best ever you might want to dig a little bit in the underground... There are tons of great emcee's that have better flow, rhymes scheme's, and lyrics than Em... In the music industry he's being pushed harder than any other artist, and has been for a long time... I respect everyone's opinion on the matter, as maybe you don't listen to the same range of hip-hop I do...

compared to his mainstream competition he still got it.. it's a new day I guess cause people believe gucci mane has lyrics and rick rose is the new B.I.G.. So Im guessing most cats is holding on to what's left in mainstream rap considered to be real hip-hop and thats em... he's not as dope as he used to be but neither are a lot of cats from when they first came out. jay-z will never sound like how he sounded on his first album same with em but they still make coo songs

And the reason why eminem made it instead of most rappers is because he got off his ass and pushed his music like that was all he had instead of sittin on messaging boards talkin shit.
