Look at the difference! Its a complete new Em.

The old Em:

New Em and doesnt he look like michael scofield of prison break
This is exactly what I'm talking about. What happen to the OLD Em, songs like- When Bad Meets Evil, As the World Turns, Slim Shady, etc.. Not this new stuff like- I'm not afraid, Or any other song he sticks a pop star on the hook and thinks its a hit. I mean Em still can rap, but I believe most like the gritty crazy Em. I mean I'm glade he off of drugs and stuff. But that don't mean you have to stop rapping like you off of drugs and stuff, I mean come on.

what happened was he made those songs so there over and done with. i swear even if he did make those type of songs you would all complain that he's the same ol' em. i think people get mad at how talented the dude is. he's killing everyone right now in the game underground or mainstream. like him or not he sold more with his new album than he did with most of y'all favortie top 10. guy is different and he isnt on some slimshady shit anymore but i like the new em just as much as the old. he's been lyrically on point from start to finish on recovery and he's giving slaughter a shot at being something which right there alon i give him props for. he's doing big things and doing them in a much bigger way than ever before so i tip my hat to the guy.

Once again, you're forgetting everybody in Slaughterhouse (Royce Da 5,9", Joell Ortiz, Crooked I, Joe Budden)

Chino XL, Ras Kass, Canibus, Papoose, Hopsin, ect.

And if you're gonna say he's the best in the mainstream, I'm not even gonna you that because Drake's album (as boring as it was) was more entertaining then Relapse and Recovery.

Em still has talent yes, but accounting on his whole albums of recent, they're not really listenable
Well, since he said 99% of rappers in the game, and there's about 51,058,223 rappers in the world, I'd say he nailed that one.

I don't like his pop music (Without Me, etc.), but he does have some good music. I haven't really listened for him in the past 4 years or so, but every once in a while, I'll catch something decent.

I hate watching him live, like on award shows, performances, etc. He always has that 'I'm so serious' face on; it's annoying as hell. Goofy emo.

encore had some gems on it. it wasnt his worst album to me, but some of his worst songs were on there. relapse just didnt have anything that stood out besides my mom, deja vu, beautiful and underground. the rest was just ehhhh

I listen to music but to be honest Em new stuff just haven't drawn me in to check out the rest, like his first few albums did. I know Em can still rap and I give him his props, but it just a lil different now, for better or worse. Some will like it, some won't.

i can feel that, i was addressing the people who say he's not one of the better rappers in the game.

Eminem is probably my favorite rapper.

Slim Shady LP, Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show are all classic.

Encore was alright and had some bangers, but it's easily his weakest album.

Relapse was pretty tight, but Recovery he shows off how sick his lyrical abilities are. Songs like On Fire, Seduction, No Love, Space Bound, 25 to Life, So Bad, Almost Famous, You're Never Over and the untitled track show he's at the top of his game lyrically.

I don't think Recovery is as creative or unpredictable as SSLP or MMLP, but it has a lot more emotion to it and is very introspective and personal.

you can say his first 2 or 3 albums were personal... he just went about it differently... i havent listened to anything after Eminem Show so i can't judge his more recent stuff but thats just cuz I personally fuck wit rappers 1st 2or 3 albums cuz thats when they are the hugriest and the most raw IMO....

IN MY HUMBLE OPINION, Eminem is probably the best rapper out right now cuz he got crazy lyrical abilities and flow etc... BUT with that said, he is not a rapper i listen to on the regular. Im not a big Em fan, especially his new album, its alright but nothing like when he first started out. He has gone thru a lot of shit since he first came out so to expect for him to stay and rap the same is retarded. People change(rappers included) for better or worse.

I thought his best work was the Eminem Show, minus a track or two. Songs like "Til I Collapse" "Soldier" "Sing For The Moment" are classic to me. But like i stated, i know and respect the fact that lyrically he can shit on anyone, especially in a battle, but he doesn't really make songs that i can bump in the whip. and to me that's what matters in the end cuz im not gonna just lock myself up in my room and listen to music all alone and depressed just so i can "relate".

People want and like music that has a high replay value and in this day and age, its music like "teach me how to doogie" and "toot it and boot it". SADLY

The way he was spittin on the "8 Mile" Soundtrack was hella dope to me tho, that's a good cd wit replay value.
