"I think Pacquiao gave the fans a boring fight, he was punching his arms for all 12 rounds." FMJ,

“At least when you watch Floyd Mayweather you know you’ll be seeing non-stop action for 30 minutes straight and that’s what you’ll see on May 1st .” FMJ,

“Personally, I think Pacquiao got exposed in that fight for being one-dimensional. You can have all [the] offence ability in the world but with no defense you’re not going to last long against a good counter puncher such as myself.” FMJ,

206 said that article was fake, if it's true then Floyd and Shane both said that fight was boring.

^^^ LMAO like who mayweather? you know damn well he will not engage with pac even though he's smaller than mayweather if they were ever to fight. that fool's hands are brittle and he don't pack no punch (look up xylocaine tony). you tellin me cotto and clottey don't hit hard? both them fools landed solid shots on pac, pac even let them hit him purposely to see what they got and both of them couldnt phase him. tell me what "real" WW has your fuck boy mayweather even fought yet compared to cotto and clottey? the truth is what your hiding from and that's mayweather doesnt want to fight pac.
Give it a break. I recall Pacman crying in the ring after Morales whooped him. Pacman is on some PED's homie so now we won't see him cry after getting whooped anymore. He can take any punch from an WW and keep coming. He's on somethin'...

No one wants to see that .. I don't care what Valero thinks he was promised. Pacquiao with all his political shit doesn't have much boxing left IMO. I'd rather him spend his remanding fights fighting Mayweather/Mosley or if that doesn't pan out and Yuri Foreman edges out Cotto than Pac/Foreman just to add another weight class to the legacy.

If Valero keeps it up he'll get his payday soon enough, unfortunately Pacquiao won't be around at the time.

Valero is very tricky because at first he's like, "hai guys, does anyone want to fight?"

and then he's all, I'M GOING TO SKULL FUUCK YOU TILL YOU LOVE ME FAGGOT

But on the reals, I think you're wrong when you say "no one wants to see that." Of course, Floyd/Mosley is what needs to happen, no question about it. But Valero is a pretty big curiosity, anyone with a 100% KO ratio brings that and if he can beat a good name at 140, he would be in a very good position to fight pacquiao, better imo than bradley or alexander who have 218 fans combined.

let me throw you guys a curve-ball. What do you think about Pacquiao vs Edwin Valero? As far as ticket sales and PPV numbers go.
Man, I'd love to see that fight, but that's mostly because I love high action fights.

I don't think enough people know who Edwin Valero is just yet though. I think he needs a couple more thrilling victories over marquee names, and he'll be knocking on the door.

Question is though, will Pacquiao be around long enough for that to happen? One thing though is that Arum can and will make things happen easily within his own stable of fighters, so I wouldn't put it out of the question if the winner of Mosley-Mayweather doesn't pull through for whatever reason.

On another note, not sure if anyone caught the untelevised undercard of this fight but did anyone see Marroquin and Benevidez?

First time I've seen Marroquin but I like his style. Benevidez looks like he's bound for stardom too down the line...his footwork isn't there yet completely but man these two guys fights were damn near more entertaining than the televised ones.

Pacquiao's singing takes a hit; concert canceled

HONOLULU -- A promoter says poor ticket sales have forced the cancellation of Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao's upcoming concert Sunday in Waikiki.

Ryan Chang of Island Fire Productions said Tuesday he stood to lose about $50,000 on the concert, even with late sales and walk-ups.

Only 603 tickets had been sold for the show at the Waikiki Shell just days after more than 45,000 people -- the largest crowd to see a fight in the U.S. in 17 years -- watched Pacquiao retain his welterweight title against Joshua Clottey in Texas.

Pacquiao was going to earn $100,000 at the "Manny Pacquiao Live In Hawaii Concert Celebration." He made at least $12 million for last Saturday's fight.

Well if promoted right I think it would definitely outsell pac-clottey and it's guaranteed to be high action, end in spectacular knockout. By that time, Valero should have a decent win over Lamont Peterson and more HBO exposure. Valero has already got some press in mainstream media for his 100% KO ratio so I think he's a bigger draw than some might think, especially if matched up against someone like Pac.

Question is though, will Pacquiao be around long enough for that to happen? One thing though is that Arum can and will make things happen easily within his own stable of fighters, so I wouldn't put it out of the question if the winner of Mosley-Mayweather doesn't pull through for whatever reason.
Well that's the question. Freddie Roach already said Plan B (if mayweather/mosley fight doesn't happen for whatever reason) is possibly Valero or Bradley, and honestly I think Valero would make more money than anyone else at this point. I mean really, who else is there to fight? Naner mentioned Yuri Foreman but Pacquiao already turned that down, saying Foreman was too big.

^ Most def. I'd pay to see a Pacquiao-Valero bloodbath for sure.

Kevin Iole is reporting that the Pacquiao-Clottey card is going to land somewhere around 700,000 PPV buys. Not bad for a fight with no 24/7, being that Clottey is a virtual unknown.

It would be an exciting fight, that's it. That would be the purpose.

It wouldn't really be about "what has he accomplished" just an exciting fight that fans would like to see.

(keep in mind this would be assuming Valero gets another solid win, or two, at 140 pounds...)

It's a nonsense fight for a guy on his way out. Why waste a talent that's something we'll probably never see again on something meaningless. You know why I liked all of Pacquiao's recent fights? It's because I figured he was fighting people that can beat him .. I'd rather him fight Andre Berto a 147lber with a title. If Yuri Foreman beats Cotto, Pacquiao would be signing a different tune about fighting him.

I'm certainly not going to argue against any of that but I guess it all depends on how long Pacquiao is planning on fighting. If we are to believe what he's saying, 1 or 2 more fights and that's it', then you're right he shouldn't waste any time with Valero, but if it's more like 3 or 4 fights, why the hell not?

Clottey: "If I didn't have a good defense, Pacquiao would have KNOCKED ME OUT"

James Slater: In your opinion, if Pacquiao ever fights Floyd Mayweather Junior, who will win?

Josh Clottey: The way Pacquiao fights, he will give any fighter problems - the way he throws so many punches. A lot of fighters throw a lot of punches, but Pacquiao throws them with energy; and he can take a good punch too. I don't think Mayweather should fight Pacquiao at a catch-weight. If he does, he's not gonna beat him because of the energy he [Pac] has. Pacquiao has so many advantages anyway. If I didn't have the good defence I have, he would have knocked me out. My defense allowed me to make it to the end of the 12-rounds, but that was not my [sole] intention. But with my [weakened] condition I had to protect myself.

I agree with that. If he's gonna keep fighting for a little while longer than sure go for it. Crush Valero, get a nice KO and get people excited .. I'll watch. I just don't see it .. Pacquiao isn't the "all I have is boxing" type of a fighter so I just don't see him being here much longer. Unless he really dumps that much money into his leeching entourage than I don't see him being around longer than two more fights (1 if he happens to fight Mayweather).

What has Valero done to show that he can make it a bloodbath? Outboxing Demarco was impressive but it's not close to Pacquiao. Valero would be done within 3.

You know you're probably right, but it would be a very exciting fight while it lasted...that's for sure.

But the fight is definitely a real possibility with Bob Arum in the driver's seat, and both fighters in the Top Rank stable.

Hmmmm... I am seriously beginning to think that Pac is taking PED's, especially after reading this statement and pac's refusal to get tested so close to the fight.
