I didn't doubt him in that he'd lose, I just thought Clottey would be a tougher opponent for pacquiao because of his size, his durability, his defense and his overall toughness. But the only thing he showed tonight was his durability. I thought Clottey's defense would be hard for pacquiao to figure out, but his game plan of just throwing 100 punches per round was absolutely correct. That's what Margarito did to beat him (even though Clottey won about 5 rounds).

Clottey has looked good in every fight I've ever seen him in and everyone he's fought, even the guys he lost too, he made it a tough ass fight. But pacquiao is a different animal than all those guys and he proved that once again.

I will say it was probably a harder fight than it looked. He had to work his ass off and some of those shots he took definitely did a bit of damage, especially those uppercuts.

I really hope Mosley beats Floyd. Nothing would be more hilarious in the world of combat sports than if Floyd lost to Mosley because he would essentially be forced to BEG Pacquiao for a fight to redeem himself. I know him losing may be a longshot but how fucking awesome would that be? Pac would be able to run the table; take most of the money and say some shit like "He needs to wear orange shorts if he wants to fight me" Lol! Dont get me wrong, I have a great deal of respect for Floyd the fighter. I love watching a talent like him destroy people in the ring, but to get a taste of his own medicine like that would be great.

^^to be honest though pacquiao vs shane mosley would probably be a lot more entertaining than pac vs floyd because basically what you'll get with pac vs floyd is pac chasing floyd for 12 rounds and floyd pot shotting all night, whereas someone is getting hurt with pac vs mosley

I don't want to quote myself but damn, that was a good sparring match. Thanks Bob Arum!!!!
You're a fucking idiot.

Name one fighter that has looked good against Joshua Clottey.

Didn't think so.

The undercard sucked, Top Rank really dropped the ball on this and would've been a good opportunity to showcase some talent.

I'm a Jose Luis Castillo fan for life, but its sad to see him like this.

As for the main event...

Pacquiao never allowed Clottey to set up and sit on his punches. He was either moving or throwing, and Clottey was so hell bent on avoiding punches, that he didn't get to let his hands go.

One thing that was a trip was how they interviewed Clottey's trainer during the fight and he was pretty much like: I don't know what the fuck he's doing, I told him to let 'em fly.

Dominating performance.

^^I think his trainer said Clottey was scared of his power, or was feeling his power or something like that.

But it was clear there wasn't any trust between clottey & his trainer, clottey basically did what he wanted to and that's it.

It was an absolute domination from pacquiao, I think people are disappointed because it didn't end in a spectacular knock out or was quite as exciting as his past 5-8 fights or so. He's been on such an incredible streak that dominating for 12 rounds just isn't the norm anymore for pac

it was crazy seeing pacman throw pretty much a 100 punches a round and still look like he could go another 12 rounds
