I agree though. Where are people getting this notion that Margarito is some helpless journeyman? Sure, he's been off for a while, and didn't look spectacular in his come back fight, but this is the guy people were saying was the guy to beat Floyd Mayweather not too long ago.
Still a very dangerous opponent, with a lot to prove. This isn't gonna be a cakewalk.

Come on people Stone-Hands is not all that good. He has a great chin and crazy stamina. He has won one big fight against Cotto, please don't say Critron. He got KO'ed by Mosley and beat by P-Williams. He's a good fighter not great by any means. This will be a good action fight. If Pac-man is great then he KO's Stone-Hands in 10rds. With that said I'm getting more and more pumped for this fight.
You forgot he beat Clottey and set the all time punch stat record (threw over 1600 punches). He narrowly lost to paul williams which there is no shame there and he had williams hurt late in the fight. Margarito was never hurt in that fight he was just out-worked for more rounds (hence the 7-5 scoring or whatever it was).
The Kermit Cintron wins were impressive too, especially the first one when Cintron was undefeated.
He also knocked out Sergio Martinez (the only man to do so).
So no, I don't think it's fair to say he's not that good. He has a good resume and has good qualities (stamina, chin, work-rate, relentless pressure and he's a gym rat).

And the only people that hype up Stone-Hands are Manny fans so what's your point. How can anyone discredit a guy that was found to have loaded gloves two fights ago, and who got KO'ed by Mosley in that very same fight. It's safe to say he did the discrediting to himself. Now can he get some respect and credit back in this fight is the question. It should be a good action packed fight so stop with the Manny vs Mayweather discredit crap.
all we are saying, or at least all I am saying, is that Margarito shouldn't be viewed as some push over. He tried to cheat against mosley and he's lucky to even be given this opportunity, he could have been banned for life. I don't think he should ever be forgiven for that. But earlier you made it out to seem like this was some huge mismatch, like margarito is david daiz or some shit. Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but from my point of view, margarito is going to a be tough fight for margarito, probably the toughest fight manny has fought in 3 or 4 years. Tougher than Oscar, tougher than Ricky and probably tougher than Cotto.

He'll be a walking death bag. Vera couldn't get away from punches if someone was telling him exactly what they're about to throw. He plays spoiler to guys that can't crack or are inexperienced, like Demers & Lee, but against someone like Pavlik he's a dead man walking. He'll be unconscious in 2 rounds unless Pavlik wants to extend it for any reason.
There's a lot of guys on the undercard I'd rather see over Mike Lee fighting a no hoper. Marroquin Vs. Oliveria & Mepranum's comeback fight are on the undercard and should definitely be seen over those two IMO.

Stone-Hands is good and all but lets be for real here for a minute, this is the same guy that had trouble beating a one-handed Cottley. Like i stated before his style is taylor made to make Manny look real good in this fight. But SH has a iron chin, great stamina,and add the fact that he's is fighting for his boxing life. You have the makings of an action packed fight.
Margarito also "reportedly" injured his hands during the fight and actually sat out longer than Clottey did because of it. I say that in quotation marks because there was no ever medical documentation of any of this just Clottey saying it happened, the same Clottey that blamed diarrhea for his Pacquiao performance.
I want Stone-Hands to KO the Catch weight King (Manny). I want Stone-Hands to give him a Cotto style beating. This will be a good fight. Questions that will be answered for me in this fight. Is Stone-Hands shot after the Mosley beating, Was all his past wins due to loaded gloves? If Manny is truthly great and P4P king then he has to KO Stone-Hands to prove it. I'm getting hyped up for this fight.
