NO, THEY WOULD NOT GET A TITLE. ROY IS VERY GOOD, ALDRIDGE IS KOO, AND ODEN STILL HASNT PLAYED A DAY IN THE LEAGUE. HES INJURY PRONE AND I GUARANTEE HES GONNA STAY IN FOUL TROUBLE. HOW ARE U GONNA PUT HIM IN THE EQUATION WHEN HE HAS YET TO PLAY A SINGLE SECOND IN THE LEAGUE. HE COULD BE A HUGE BUST FOR ALL WE KNOW AND I REALLY THINK THATS WUTS GONNA HAPPEN BECAUSE HE WAS SO OVERHYPED AND HIS INJURIES WILL GET TO HIM. U ACT LIKE ALDRIDGE IS A BEAST TO PUT HIM IN AS A MAIN PIECE OF A CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM. PORTLAND WILL NOT HAVE A CHAMPIONSHIP ANYTIME SOON
Injury prone? based on what? One injury that required microfracture? Or maybe you mean having his tonsils taken out? LOL How is he a part of the equation when he hasn't played this year? Come on, buddy. Try to focus. Oden is officially on the roster. He is under contract. He is the future. Nobody said Portland will win a title THIS year. In fact I will guarantee it wont happen this year. But keep in mind that next year and for many years to come, Oden will be the franchise center, and the MVP of the European league will come over to take his spot on the roster. In case you haven't noticed, Portland has the brightest future of any team in the league. Our biggest problem is going to be getting rid of Darius Miles. Your biggest problem is that Kobe is virtually untradeable and a Kobe led team will never win a title.

WELL IM NOT A LAKER FAN SO U CAN SAY WUTEVER U WANT ABOUT THEM. KOBE IS THE BEST PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE WETHER U LIKE IT OR NOT THOUGH. IM A BULLS FAN, YES WERE DOING TERRIBLE THIS YEAR, BUT JUST BECAUSE WERE IN THE EAST WE HAVE A BETTER CHANCE THEN PORTLAND HITTING THE FINALS. UNLESS WE DO SUMTHIN, I REALLY DOUBT WE MAKIN IT BUT I KNOW WUT WERE CAPABLE OF. ODEN FUCKED UP HIS WRIST IN COLLEGE THEN HE FUCKS UP HIS KNEE OR WUTEVER IT IS THIS YEAR THAT IS MAKING HIM SIT OUT FOR A MINUTE. THINKING ROY, ALDRIDGE, AND INJURY PRONE ODEN WILL BE THE "BIG THREE" FOR A CHAMPIONSHIP IS RETARDED SINCE THE OTHER 2 ARE UP AND COMERS WHO I THINK WILL PEAK NEXT YEAR AND A PLAYER WHO HASNT PLAYED AT ALL IS YOUR SO CALLED "FRANCHISE PLAYER". HES UNPROVEN, END OF STORY. NOT HATIN ON YALL AT LIKE LIKE I SAID BEFORE BECAUSE U GUYS ARE HOT RIGHT NOW. IM JUST SAYING YALL WILL NOT GET A CHAMPIONSHIP ANYTIME SOON. NOT NEXT YEAR, NOT THE YEAR AFTER THAT, AND NOT THE YEAR AFTER THAT. ITS NOT HAPPENIN. PORTLAND IS GOOD, BUT NOT CHAMPIONSHIP GOOD

LOL. You gotta be kidding. 2 completely unrelated injuries, where one of them was a very minor injury does not make him injury prone, sorry. And the injury that Oden has now is the same one that Amare had a few years ago and Amare is looking just fine. You should also take into account that Oden's injury was detected VERY early and was less severe than Amare's. Basically Oden gets a full year to add weight to throw around next year. And how long have you been watching basketball? You think Roy and Aldridge are going to peak NEXT YEAR??!!? You realize next year Roy will only be 24 and Aldridge will only be 23? It is highly unusual for ANY player to be entering their prime at that age, and even more rare for a player to peak for one season and then steadily decline. So, you dont think this is a solid core, fine. I'll be sure to let you know about it...

By the way, you're lying to yourself if you think the Lakers wouldn't trade Bynum for Oden in a heartbeat. But we wouldn't take Bynum cause he's too injury prone.
You're gonna have to explain your horrible math on this one.

Your boy is out for a WHOLE SEASON.

My boy is out for 8 weeks - to be safe.

How is Bynum more injury prone than Oden??WOW!!!

And, if we wouldn't trade Bynum for Kidd, then you really can't say we would for Oden. Yeah, he's the #1 pick, but other than that, nobody has seen what he can do in a REAL pro game. We all know how Bynum's been doing.

YES I DO THINK THEY PEAKIN IN A YEAR OR 2. I DONT SEE THEM GETTING THAT MUCH BETTER THEN WHERE THERE AT RIGHT NOW. EVEN AT THEIR PRIME THERE WILL STILL BE TEAMS IN THE LEAGUE THATS DOMINANT AND PORTLAND IS NOT GONNA BE ONE OF THEM FOR A LONG TIME

lakers need to make some trades or something if they wanna go deep into the playoffs kuz they have a weak bench or hardly a decent bench....
And...dumbest comment in the thread goes to...the unknown guy!

Go do some research before you say the Lakers have a weak bench. Go see where our bench has ranked this year.

How would a Blazer fan know what a championship team looks like? Are you fucking stupid? Do you think Blazer fans are the only group of people on the planet without televisions?
Its a diss to your organization, moron. If you have no championship banners, yet you've had great teams, then you still don't know what a championship team looks like. Oh my god, why do I have to spoonfeed people?

I dont know what the Oregon papers are saying, I don't live there, smart guy. I'm not gonna sit here and google the shit just to make a point to you, but Kenny Smith, Chad Ford, John Hollinger, fans of numerous other teams, The Kings announcers, The Warriors announcers, NBA.com, and anyone else with a half a brain has expressed something to the effect that the Blazers have laid the groundwork for a championship team. And you mention Roy and Aldridge, but you're forgetting one tiny piece of the puzzle in Greg Oden, not to mention we also have the best player in Europe coming over next year, to go along with tons of cap space to sign any free agent to a max contract outright or make a trade for a star who is aleady under contract and the cap will allow us to absorb the contract. Things are looking great for the Blazers right now.
I'm sure you've heard these analysts say these things, but have you honestly not heard them say anything about the Lakers? I believe your statement was "The Blazers will get a championship BEFORE the Lakers" NOT that they've "laid the groundwork for a championship team". Don't switch up what you said...is there really a consensus on what you actually said???

I think not.

I'm a ''non homer Laker fan"...and I don't see the Blazers winning a championship with this roster, because this roster won't stay intact, IMO. If they could keep this lineup, plus/minus a few 'role-players', for 3 years or so, and add a true, talented point guard, I could see it, but I honestly don't see it happening in the next 5 years or so.
lol THE ROSTER IS GOING TO STAY INTACT... and I don't know how many times I have to explain it.... they are all VERY happy, and paul allen is the richest owner in sports, if the players we have make a push at playoffs/championships for years to come, you better believe paul allen is going to be forking out LOADS OF MONEY and have NO problem doing it

Lol @ foul trouble over summer league games, there have been many of players who are highly regarded, then go into summer league a rack up 9-10 fouls a game. It happens, thats why there is a summer league to learn that. and with a 10 foul limit a game, you don't think coaches are gonna say BE AGGRESSIVE, you have 10 fouls to give, go after IT??? I think they are

Aldridge will be even better when teams have to double oden and that frees up aldridge on the weak side block, if you watched them play together is summer league you would know this... its gonna be scary for the rest of the league
