slicc I gotta question...Mexicans always confuse me with this west los shit...when a Los Angeles Mexican is saying west los do they just mean everything thats not east LA and the SF valley (because I never hear shit about south LA, etc.). Like to me there is two westsides in LA: either west south central, or the beach communities (west LA), then there is the northeast (hp, atawater, eagle rock, silver lake, etc.), South LA (watts, SC, compton, etc.) East LA (boyle heights, montebello, monterey park, etc.), and the valley. But I just want to know if Mexicans in the Los traditionally split the city up into west and east, and don't really think about north and south, and so on.
one thing though, i have been 'banged on' by 18th street. i'll admit to that.
and the shits annoying. it just happens more than you need it to. like you go to one street, someone asks you where your from, you say whatever the fuck you say, cross the street, it happens again, and your days already kinda ruined and shit..i guess its your bad being in someones turf. but it just makes going to see your friends in LA that much more like a fucking indiana jones movie than a simple visit to a city.
LA is cool if you know people, or you lived there your whole life, or youre just a cool ass mutha fucka that can get along w everyone, but yeah, lots of room for altercations, its a big city

I'm with you dude. I'm Mexican and grew up on the East Side and West LA still isn't right to me. I've been to their hoods and I don't see it..
