You act like the video has made no impact, it turned her from opening act to headliner, regardless of the location. She wasn't doing that prior. FAB did not perform at that venue on the date and I can find any evidence of him performing on the 27th, which even if he did, would be ridiculous to think that made a difference on her ticket sales.

Also it pre-sold out prior to the 27th.
Ok ,well I read a review that said FAB opened the show.

You're not understanding me. I'm not acting like anything, and I'm not denying the fact that the video has helped her whatsoever. I am saying that 2 million Youtube hits does not mean 2 Million fans. Dude was on here saying her Youtube documented the fact that people "LIKE" her...when really, if we are going to use that as a gauge of how well she is received, less than 1% of the people who have viewed "Gucci Gucci" actually clicked "LIKE"...so it's not really a representation of who likes or dislikes her music. The numbers are really only a representation of how many people saw it. Even then, you have to get into the analytics. I personally viewed the video 6 times and my fiancé 3 times...see what I'm saying?

And if the pre-sale tickets sold out, and there was a line for "at-the-door" ticket sales, and the folks got in...and it was not a huge venue...then the "sold out" status before the show doesn't even mean she packed the place a week prior, it just means pre-sale tickets sold out.

You ever been to a bar or club just to be at the bar or club, only to find out while there that somebody was performing? I have.

Like I've been saying, true success will be gauged by how well she is received in other regions. It's not hating, it's not denying what she's done for herself...it is merely a fact.

I'm not here to hate or say anything negative about the chick or her music, but youtube VIEWS don't mean anything. "Gucci Gucci" has 2,389,857 views and only 15,173 documented likes. According to my calculations, that means not even 1% of the viewers clicked "Like". If somebody tells me, "Hey, go listen to this crap", I go and listen to it. If I can't believe what I'm hearing, I pass it on to 200 more people...and I'm sure they do the same. Point is, 2 Million views doesn't mean 2 million fans.

William Hung's "She Bangs" audition has over 1 Million hits, he was all over the radio, doing performances, and he sold 223,000 records...does that mean he's dope? No. It means somebody was smart enough to capitalize on unbelievable crap. Rebecca Black has over 161 MILLION views and over 3 Million dislikes...and they disabled comments because of the shit people were talking about her.

Kreayshawn's success remains to be seen. I hope she succeeds 'cause I don't wish failure on anybody...but right now it's a toss-up. Youtube hits mean nothing.

In any case, good luck to you and Kreayshawn.
unless you can show me one of your videos that 2million plus people gave a fuck enough about to watch, you aint doin nothing but hatin son. plain and simple. i bet you couldnt get 2 million views if you had 2 million in the bank to give a buck to everyone who did listen. im not hating on you because ive never heard your music but trying to say that getting 2million views doesnt mean anything is stupid as fuck especially hearing it from an "artist" who is obviously trying to make music for more than hobby or personal purposes.

Alright I see where you're coming from but can you find me a music video that had more than 5% likes to views? I can't recall ever seeing a music video with more than 5% likes to views at the most. If you want to talk about insignificance of a youtube video, likes really don't mean much at all.

Also if you don't mind, you got any video or pics of your sold out shows of a crowd that large or bigger? Pics or it didn't happen. :)

I'm saying that getting 2 million views doesn't mean you have 2 million fans. Why would I have a music video with 2 million views? I haven't made a music video. I can show you the car I owe no money on, the house I bought, and the baby and Fiancé I take care of. That's all I really care about. I don't give a shit about Youtube views or attracting major record labels...I'm perfectly happy with where I'm at right now.

How am I a hater, and how are you not. You went out of your way to bash me for no reason. I didn't even talk down on Kreayshawn or what she's doing, I'm saying her SUCCESS REMAINS TO BE SEEN (as far as a solid FAN BASE). Like I said, go look at REBECCA BLACK! Over 100 Million views and nobody likes that fuckin' song. Youtube views are not a representation of how well an artist is received. PERIOD!

That's what I'm saying. For her manager to say Youtube proves people like her shit is inaccurate...that's all I was trying to point out. It doesn't represent who dislikes her, either...it just says that people are watching. No publicity is bad publicity, so she's doing her thing either way. I'm not hating on her whatsoever.

About my shows, there could be pics. I never brought cameras to shows, so I didn't take any personally. I know some exist though. But, I have done packed shows. Not HUGE venues, but good enough for what I was doing. Some of the people probably just showed up to get drinks, because that happens when you perform at bars and clubs. I will never know, but I'm still going to say I packed the fuck out of places...'cause they were packed when I was on stage. :cheeky:

i don't wanna get in the middle of the all the madness on this thread, but on the subject of youtube views, they are actually extremely important these days.

youtube views are actually one of the first things that record labels and radio stations ask about these days. before they will do business with you or your company, or consider playing your record, one of the first questions out of their mouths now a days is "how are your youtube views?"

are they a correct representation of how much someone is liked or disliked, no, but it can be a pretty good representation of how much of a buzz someone is generating, positive or negative. it may sound like a stupid way to judge someone's success and / or buzz, but it is a very true used statistic.

Ima respectfully say fuck no it aint, Im not gonna totally disagree with the progression of Mac Dre, romper room gang type shit to Thizz ent. There was definetly a progression but thats pretty ordinary for artists that gain some form of sustained success, you could make the same argument about E-40, but there is a difference between being an established artist and changing your sound a little to expand your sales into another market vs being a weird ass dyke bitch from the jump. There is no old kraeshawn vs new kraeshawn, this isnt the progression of an artist, this is what she is, and she cant even rap, SHE CANT RAP FOR SHIT!!! any comparisons to Mac Dre are an insult, and wat makes you (not foul mouth) think Mac Dre woulda worked with this hoe? cuz he worked with Smoov-E? Im not totally dismissing it but it seems like a stretch to me
