Exactly. It was also the last time the Niners and raiders were any good. And like I said, they played eachother that year and the Niners won it.
Unless he's talking about Conference champs.. Which is a different story completely because that was before the AFC became dominate. The Niners lost to the Buccs, who would end up spanking and embarrassing the raiders in the SuperBowl. Neither team could handle the Buccs that year, so again I would say both teams were about the same.

Yeah well if your conferance champs that pretty much means thats the last time you went to the superbowl. You guys got us on that ill give you that. Personally though I hope the raiders do good. I wanna see a battle of the bay in the superbowl. That would be the shit but realisticly I dont think the raiders are gonna be that good this year. They will be better then last year thats for sure but I say at the most they win 6 games.
And before that it was just Denver.. The NFC had won 14 of 16 SuperBowls.. That's dominant. Having a team win it in 2 out of 4 years is not dominant.
No, the AFC just sucked that year. The Niners were equipped to beat every AFC team in 2002.. They beat the AFC Champs to prove it.. And they were clearly not the best team in the NFC.

It's not like we were 2-14 the year you guys made it to the Bowl and we were still clownin.
