Truthfully I want the raiders to do good this year
I kinda feel sorry for my fam because most of them are raider fans and they get all pissed when they blow, which has been the case for the last several years. I wouldn't mind seeing them do well for the sake of some of their fans, I just can't show it LOL.

their biggest weakness last year was the o-line and they did very little to improve their o-line.
They stand by the excuse of poor coaching for last year's O-Line debacle. I will admit that had a lot to do with it, but they also had bad linemen. And it's true, they really didn't do too much to improve that line. I wouldn't expect a drastic improvement in that unit this year.

I'm a Raiders fan, and I sure don't blame the O-line's troubles on ''poor coaching"...these are PROFESSIONALS, they know how to play, they just can't, because the O-LINE, in general, SUCKS.

No, the Raiders aren't going all the way suddenly. 9-7??? That's a stretch...I'd love it, but I doubt it. I say...6-10, 7-9 at the best. Even 6 might be a stretch...

Either way, it's a transition; it won't be immediate, so please excuse my fellow Raiders from the dumb comments made.

GO RAIDERS.

In regards to the o-line... I think it was a combination of coaching, bad play calling, and Randy Moss...

Yep Randy Moss... because that fool kept running the wrong routes which in turn made our QB have to hold on to the ball longer. I think our o-line will be aight because we got some new coaching and they're implementing a zone/cut blocking scheme... so we'll see what happens.

I might think so if it wasn't for the Patriots.

But regardless, they have a better shot at going all the way than the raiders do of making the playoffs.

THE SAD THING IS I AGREE THAT THEY DO ON PAPER.

WE ALL KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WITH THE CHARGERS IN THE POST-SEASON THOUGH..

I'm not one to really knock a team, but this ^ is dumb...Niners overexelled last year (good for them), but didn't have a 'great' year...

You act as if they had a playoff year. Just because a team is less shitty doesn't make them ''bad-ass''...

Moving on...Porter > Lee.

and the other wr's te' and rb's were where on the play?

thats a fuckin cop out excuse!

1 wr can't fuck up a while goddamn play. if they o-line blocked and the qb checked down there are other plays to make the play too.

You have a point but it's not a cop out excuse. Randy dogged it and should have been benched... I guess you never the thread I created about Randy. Here is what the old coach had to say about Randy Moss:

Walsh specifically recollected one such incident that occurred in Week 3 of the regular season.

"He runs a 9-[deep go]-route; Andrew Walter was at quarterback. [Walter] makes the play-fake and a huge hole opens up for Randy in the middle of the field, but he's running down the sideline. Walter nearly threw his arm out pulling the ball back. When Randy gets to the sidelines, Freddie Biletnikoff says, 'What were you doing?' Randy told Fred, 'I didn't feel like running the 6-route on the dirt part of the infield.' That's the Randy I coached."

"We're playing Sunday night against Denver and we call a play where Randy can run a post corner or a hook," Walsh recalled. "He runs the corner with Champ Bailey sitting on that route. Terrible read. He should have run the hook, which was wide open. Walter throws it up anyway and Bailey intercepts it.

And also if you know anything about football you would know that some offenses go by timed routes. The ball will be in the air before the receiver makes his break so by the time he turns around the ball is there instead of waiting on it. Yes qb's have check downs but how do you know Walsh's offense had check downs? You don't know. Maybe the rb you said he should have checked down to was asked to stay in and block. Maybe the check down options were covered.

ok you ask how do I know they have check downs?

how do you know they don't?

I would say it is 100% safe to say there are check downs. An NFL offense with no check down would be idiotic....oh wait it was the Raiders........

OK, but what does this have to do with them saying the raiders are garbage? What difference does the Niners' season make when it comes to another team? The fact is the raiders were the worst team in the league, and until next seasons starts and they prove otherwise they will be considered the worst.

My response was directed at one person, not at everyone. I don't care about the comments made on here about the Raiders...most are true. But bullshit little comments, as if the Niners, or whoever else won the Super Bowl or have been dominant...that's funny to me. Just this same time last year...there wasn't much difference between the two teams.

I applaud the Niners organazation for what they've done; I expected at least 3 years for what they accomplished last year. But still...no playoffs, nothing to show for the ''awesome'' season...

I grew up about 10 years ago; sometimes I forget there are 15-16 year old KIDS on here. My bad.
